Good News - October 2024

If I could choose any car to drive it would be my favorite car that I owned back in 2003, a black 2003 Nissan 350Z. This car was very special because when I was a kid, my dad had a Datsun Z and I always thought it was the coolest car. When I heard Nissan was coming out with a Z, I had to have one. I printed a picture and hung it in my bathroom with a goal of saving to get one and finally did. I had to learn how to drive manual just to get it, but it was worth it. It reminds me of the importance of the influence of a father and how we should aspire to be like our Heavenly Father, which we don’t need a sports car to do! Steve Daigle, Campus Pastor, Calvary Chapel Parkland The car I always wanted and still dream of getting…how I would get it don’t know…is a yellow Volkswagen Karman Ghia 1973 convertible. I rode in my cousin Gary’s once and I have been hooked forever. I would love to have it even though I haven’t driven stick shift in 30 years. Steve Solomon, Area Director, CBMC South Florida I have been driving my Sable for 20 years. It is dependable and comfortable. I actually didn’t want to part with it. But we had to consider getting a new vehicle. I love some of the Cadillac models. But then I said to the Lord, “I won’t get a new car until my Sable finally says goodbye.” Two months later, we were at a memorial service and there was a newer model, Sable. The owner kept it in the garage, and it has low miles. And my little heart was happy. The Sable Saga continues... Tewannah Aman, Executive Director, Broward County Right to Life I would love to drive a Lamborghini Revuelta. It is a beautiful piece of art, that happens to be a high-performance vehicle. And it's a Hybrid, so it's good for the planet. If anyone would like to get one for me, I'd prefer the Molen Red.
