t c L B bi S c f c p w This month, Good News Wants to Know.... If you could choose any car to drive, what would it be? It could be a car you've had in the past that you wish you still had or a dream car you'd like to have today. That's easy: a 2002 Toyota 4Runner, which saw me through my years as a seminary student. I put thousands upon thousands of miles on it driving from St. Louis to Cape Cod and back to visit my then-girlfriend (now wife). It's an amazing vehicle, and many times I've regretted selling it back in 2007 when we moved to the UK for further studies. Dr. Scott Manor, President, Professor of Historical Theology, Knox Theological Seminary If I could choose any car to drive it would be one of three: a Triumph TR 6 (mallard green) or a Porsche Cayenne (white) or Les Feldman’s “historic” Thunderbird (black with wide whitewalls). William “Bill” C. Davell, Director, Tripp Scott In high school I drove a wood paneled Grand Wagoneer. I’d like that one back. My model had a few upgrades including a feature that blew live ants out of the AC vents. They, of course, took up residency in the beige shag carpets. Bob Denison, President, Denison Yachting I am reading this to mean "drive" and not necessarily "own." My answer is a Bugatti Royale. I would don a large brim hat and take a slow ride down A1A! Char Talmadge, Executive Director, Rescue Upstream A great deal has changed in the world since I had my car in high school, a 1972 Pontiac Trans Am with a 455-H.O. big block engine. With all the super cars and hyper cars in the world, that would be an easy choice, but I would still rather have a classic American muscle car. With that in mind, I would probably opt for the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 – convertible, of course. Chip LaMarca, State Representative Florida House District 100 My “dream car” would be a 1957 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. IYKYK. H. Collins Forman, P.A. If I could choose to drive any car, I would choose to drive a Ford Mustang GTD on the Nurburgring. While it’s street legal, it’s definitely not a daily driver. Craig D. Huston, Summit Achievers If I could choose any car to drive, it would be a Range Rover. It would fit well into my preferred lifestyle--in the backcountry, off paved roads, in the western mountainous states-- finding or hiking to great places to camp. ..but I live in Florida, so a rugged, four wheel drive vehicle doesn't make sense to me. However, gas economy does, so I've been driving Prius' for the last 17 years. Deborah Cusick, FAU Campus Volunteer, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship I would love to have my 1970 gold Camero back. My hard-working parents bought it used for my 16th birthday. It drove like a dream, and I was fanatical about keeping it clean. My dad taught me to do my own tune-ups, to change the oil, and change the muffler. Great daddy-daughter memories. Dolores King St.-George, King Communications, GraceNet Media I am waiting for the flying car – Space X and others having flying prototypes and by late 2025 several companies will have them in production. Don Campion, President, Banyan Air Service In 1972 I had a 1967 Camaro SS. Racing slicks and a four-speed transmission. I paid $1,795 for it in 1969. It shocks me what that car would be worth now. However, that's not why I prefer that car--the reason I have such a sentiment for that car is that when I met Theresa, my future bride, I was driving that car. I didn't know that the beautiful young lady that was sitting in my passenger seat would, next month, be my bride of 51 years. Lord, thank you for my awesome bride that I love so much and, thank you for my 67 Camaro. Fidel Gomez, Pastor Unbelievably, my father bought me a brand-new Mustang in 1967! I loved it and still do! I will say that over the years comfort has taken over for style. Dr. Fred Scarbrough, Founder, Scarbrough Animal Hospital and HOPE South Florida Cyber Truck.......You Love them or think they are ugly. I love them! Gregg Wallick Since I spend a lot of time in my automobile for my business, it was important to have a comfortable and reliable one. So in 2005 I purchased a Lexus LS 430. Best investment I ever made! Still have it and it runs like a charm. I’m keeping it!! But my toy ride is a new Jeep Rubicon! Helen Wayner P.A., Century 21 Hansen Realty Shelby Cobra... Why? Because it was my favorite Hot Wheels car as a child. Honestly, I'm still a kid at heart and I still play with Hot Wheels with my kids! Jesse Carroccio, Station Manager, WRMB Moody Radio If I could choose any car, I’d select the Audi Q series. I’ve driven this car for years and it’s reliable, responsive, and safe.
