e a community where mercy grows stronger than judgment, where people bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and where love is not only spoken, but shown. That kind of growth would change everything — and reflect heaven on earth. To God be the glory! Ken Kerrigan, Pastor, Calvary Chapel Pompano Beach I think there is a great need for middle school and high school students to be mentored. Not just scholastically but spiritually and morally! Larry Lacy, Pastor, The Answer Church If I could plant one idea in my community this May and watch it grow, it would be the love of Jesus expressed through genuine service to others. In a world often marked by division and self-interest, I believe that cultivating hearts that reflect Christ’s compassion, humility and sacrificial love could transform families, neighborhoods and beyond. As Galatians 5:13 says, "Serve one another humbly in love." If every member of the community embraced that, we wouldn't just see kindness grow — we'd see the Kingdom of God take root right where we are. Dr. Mary Drabik, President, South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary Regardless of our political or religious affiliation, fear is constantly being sown in the world. Whether it is related to health, finances, family issues, war or rumors of war, we are inundated with fear inducing thoughts at every turn. But according to 2 Timonthy 1:7, “God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I would plant that verse and water it with the thought that the Lord has given us three spiritual weapons to overcome one lying spirit of fear. We have to use the spiritual knowledge, skills and abilities that we have been provided for just such a time as this. Then we will see the truth grow and flourish, and the truth will set us free. Mike McDermott, Seniors and Probate Specialist, The Keyes Company If I could plant one idea in my community, it would be for people to consider their position and decision regarding Jesus, solely on who He says He is in His Word and by the experience of attending a good Bible teaching church. Faith comes by hearing. The standard for Christianity is not all the people in the church, it is simply Jesus Dr. Mike Rozenblum, Genesis Physical Medicine and Chiropractic I would share and encourage the message of the importance of marriage and the family structure. Knowing that God is the author of marriage and that our children are a gift from God, this topic can’t be discussed properly without sharing biblical values. It’s a great way to share the Gospel. The ministry “Relate Well Live Well” does an amazing job for our community in this respect. Milan Stefanovic, Chief Operations & Personal Lines Officer, Bass Underwriters To plant a family-faith based community theatre that would offer strong moral and spiritually themed content along with the Gospel in a way that would reveal the heart of God for both believers and non-believers. Oksana Horton, Artistic Director, Torch and Trumpet Theatre Company If I could plant one idea in my community, which includes the Christian community, and watch it grow, it would be the seed of love, which is “the love of God.” Yes, I would plant the seed of love, because mercy, compassion, sympathy and empathy are the offspring of love. Of course, we understand from the word of God that for one to receive “the love of God” they would have to be a born again Holy Ghost Spirit filled Christian and as a result there of, the precious Holy Spirit would pour out the love of God into their hearts, giving them the ability and desire to love everyone. Yes, we should all plant the seed of love and watch it grow. This is what the world needs more of than anything else. The above written statement is substantiated in Romans 5:5, which says, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed (poured out) abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given onto us (born again Christians).” O’Neal Dozier, Pastor, The Worldwide Christian Center I would love to see people intentionally spending time getting to know their neighbors. When I was younger, my husband and I knew all of our neighbors by name. When one lady who did not want to leave her home and was no longer able to take care of her yard, we mowed and weeded her yard. Another neighbor needed emergency care of her child while she went to the hospital and she knew all she needed to do was call us. When I had kidney surgery in my early 20's, neighbors brought over meals and checked on me when my husband was at work. It was a community. Even though we might attend different churches, we still assisted each other. Galatians 6:2 "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Patricia L. Colangelo, EdS., South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary After having lead and/or participated in over 30 SAINTS/SPORTS Mission trips, (we have organized Church trips, family trips, youth groups, Father/Son trips, etc.) if I could plant one seed in my community and watch it grow, it would be a seed to “encourage every family to pray about taking their child or children(age-appropriate,) or (especially) teenagers on a Mission Trip!! *Just for a few days, helping children (their own age) in another country, culture, and a completely different living condition than we have here in America. I’ve never met ANYONE who has come back from any mission trip without being PROFOUNDLY CHANGED (in a good way) 1) growth in compassion, 2) growth in gratitude 3) a more healthy perspective on the life God has given us here in the U.S. 4) and especially, after serving children and families who really know what it means to Pray (as in the Lord’s Prayer)“give us this day our daily Bread”!! Being involved in a mission trip can do a deep work in our hearts to help us be more aware of God’s INCREDIBLE Goodness in EVERY area of our life!!!
