The Good News states that they are the largest Christian Newspaper in America. The Good News states that their mission is " to reach our community with a relevant message of hope and truth." The Bible states, "And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man." 1 Timothy 2:12a. 1 Timothy 3 states the qualifications for church leadership. Nowhere does God's Word affirm women Pastors. My question to The Good News Newspaper regarding your September 2024, Volume 26, Issue 6, with the cover story of Christ Fellowship naming the male and female Pastors, is, how is this truthful or faithful to God's Word? Your site states that there are approximately 110,000 readers of the Good News. That is, 110,000 readers believing The Good News Christian Newspaper believes it is okay for a female to be a Pastor sinceThe Good News affirms (by not denying) that it is okay for females to be Pastors since they have an article naming a female Pastor and do not refute it. This named church's followers of thousands are also being misled. They do lots of good service, but they do not adhere totally to God's Word. "...to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken, than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22b. "Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord" shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven." Matthew 7:21 The cry is for God to turn our country around and towards Him. "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14. Is it humble to ignore God's Word and condone women Pastors? Is it seeking God's face? Now, you are not responsible for this issue of female Pastors. However, the Good News Christian Newspaper is responsible for promoting the truth as its mission states. My question, "Why does a Christian newspaper promote women Pastors? "What is truth?" Our core mission is to share a relevant message of hope in a way that will help grow the Kingdom of God. In doing this, we prayerfully aim to avoid those that do not preach the gospel as a means to salvation. However, there are many secondary issues that Christians disagree about and both sides are trying to use scripture to back up their positions. We feel it's important to show grace, love, gentleness and respect toward others who hold different views from our own.
