Good News - November 2024

I would first off state God's greatest gift to us is the sanctity of human life. That every life God creates is created for His purpose, and no man or woman has a right to exterminate that beautiful gift. Then I would quote John 3:16 and explain the free gift God has given us through His Son Yeshua/Jesus. We can be forgiven and be filled with His Holy Spirit if we turn to Him and desire Him. Lastly, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14 and thanking God for being soooo merciful to us! We as a nation deserve His great judgement, but if we repent, He will heal and save this land just like He did with Jonah and Ninevah. Joe Vitkus, Senior Rabbi, Temple Aron HaKodesh I'd encourage and inspire everyone toward two practices. First, to do difficult and inconvenient things — to choose principle over convenience, to defend and demand truth, and to take accountability and responsibility for our lives and well being — instead of making excuses. Lastly, I'd encourage people to be curious. Justus Martin, Photographer, Justus Martin Photo If I had 15 minutes of fame as an international celebrity, I would take the Apostle Paul's approach as outlined in 1 Corinthians 1:17. Paul was clear that his mission was to preach the Gospel, "not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect." I would use that platform not to impress with eloquent speech or try to captivate with worldly wisdom, but simply to proclaim the message of Christ crucified — the heart of the Gospel. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18) Ken Kerrigan, Pastor, Calvary Chapel Pompano Beach If I had 15 minutes of fame, I would use that platform to promote messages of love, compassion and unity. I would share personal stories of hope and transformation through faith, encouraging people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It’s all about using that brief moment to ignite a larger conversation! Dr. Mary Drabik, President, South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary My 15 minutes of fame would be used to highlight the trafficking of children around the globe, but particularly here in the United States. Unfortunately, much of it is being funded by our own government. Mike McDermott, PA, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, The Keyes Company I would encourage others to be mindful of the brevity of life 60, 70, 80… can sneak up quickly, leaving very little time to fret, worry, fear and argue. I would remind young and old to celebrate each day and at least on a weekly basis, do something they thoroughly enjoy. Dr. Mike Rozenblum, Genesis Physical Medicine & Chiropractic If I had 15 minutes of fame as an International Celebrity, I would host a 1minute commercial during the Super Bowl to tell children how much Jesus loves them!!! Then provide a link for parents to get tools to Encourage Their Children in: “WHO THEY ARE TO JESUS CHRIST”….(made perfect just the way they are…”Fearfully and Wonderfully Made….in the likeness and image of Almighty God”) *This has been my Life’s Mission already… Coach Rick Andreassen, founder and president of SAINTS of Florida PE and SAINTS International Sports Ministry If I had an international platform for 15 minutes, I would spend that time talking about how servant leadership is so important in our families, businesses and for society to not only survive but to flourish. Emphasizing how many of our societal issues can be addressed if people are willing to serve others and lead with both strength and grace, is an important conversation in the world we live in. Of course, as a believer that all good things come from God, the 15 minutes would be sprinkled with pointing out how the fruits of the spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and selfcontrol are the tools we need to practice servant leadership.
