Good News - November 2024

T h e b L t h f f l t t cl f w o a C o t t a This month, Good News Wants to Know... Assuming you already share the gospel, if you could have 15 minutes of FAME as an International Celebrity, how would you use that platform? If I could have 15 minutes of fame as an international celebrity, I would use it to encourage and uplift those around the world who are hurting mentally and physically as a result of the various wars in places like Israel, Gaza, Sudan, Lebanon, Ukraine and other places around the world. I believe that one’s fame should be used to glorify God and help those who are less fortunate. O’Neal Dozier, Pastor, The Worldwide Christian Center If I can’t share the Gospel with my 15 minutes of fame, I would seek to share the plight of the unborn first and then also the plight of foster children. We must stop killing babies in the womb if we are going to survive as a world and then provide a home for every child. I would encourage support for Hope Women’s Centers and for 4KIDS. William “Bill” C. Davell, Director, Tripp Scott PA I’d spend every second of my 15 minutes convincing the world of two things: 1) Don’t waste space packing a book that will never be read on your vacation; and more importantly, 2) if you decide to cold plunge, please keep it to yourself.:) Bob Denison, President, Denison Yachting Open the eyes of the world to the modern-day slavery that is human trafficking. Understanding that incredibly low-cost products have labor trafficking in their supply chain, so understand who you are buying from. Understanding that 90% of "prostitution " is the exploitation of vulnerability...a leading factor of child sexual abuse. Protect children, change the statistics. Char Talmadge, Director, Rescue Upstream If I had 15 minutes of fame as an international celebrity, I would encourage every human to commit to helping one fellow human that is in need. The power of human (not government) interaction could save many of our fellow citizens. Chip LaMarca, State Representative, Florida House District 100 I would use my fifteen-minute worldwide platform to encourage people to read my soon to be published book, "Beyond the Ends of the Earth," that describes my desperate, dangerous search and discovery of the purpose of our lives - adding to become famous isn't it. Deborah Cusick, FAU Campus Volunteer, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Other than sharing the gospel, I have three particular interests. I would want to bring awareness to and solicit support for: adoption, caring for the elderly, and seeking answers that help the homeless whether it be mental health care, structural shelter, or job training and placement. Dolores King-St. George, King Communications and GraceNet Media I would show a few short video clips of other international celebrities whose lives have been transformed because of their Salvation then challenge the viewers to consider accepting Christ and begin to live life to the fullest. Don Campion, President, Banyan Air Service, and Ministry Lead, Egbe Medical Mission We have several great role models on how to share the gospel to the general public. I would follow the lead of Samaritan’s Purse. The general public is drawn to service ministries and the way they lift up Jesus is wonderful. Dr. Fred Scarbrough, founder of Hope South Florida and Scarbrough Animal Hopsital The importance of teamwork. In sports, family, business, clubs, nonprofits, everything. The DREAMS WORK only when the TEAMS WORKS. Gregg Wallick Yes, sharing the Gospel. Sharing the importance of Freedom of speech. Adhering to the US Constitution. Honor God by voting for Christian values. I am a proud and grateful fully-vetted immigrant and American citizen!!!! There is no greater country!! Please, let’s keep her that way. Helen Wayner P.A., Century 21 Hansen Realty At Moody Radio, our mission is to share the Gospel and help people take their next step in their walk with Christ. I want to challenge Christians everywhere to live out their faith in a practical way today. Jesse Carroccio, Station Manager, WRMB Moody Radio As an international celebrity with 15 minutes of fame, I'd use my platform to impress others and live out loving others as you love yourself. We are in a time of division and chaos, not unlike in prior biblical history; the difference I've learned is that humans repeat themselves, not history. Therefore, if I can use fame to inspire change, it is that simple principle to promote unity and love under God.
