Good News - July 2022

It would be an experience to change places with James Bond for a day. His character is always seeking to resolve issues that have the potential to affect many with a clear mission. He intercedes with the right strategy to save lives, while driving some awesome vehicles, dressing sharp, and seemingly can always find time for fun. Dr. Jessica Vera, President, Chief Executive Officer, Elite Foundation My choice would be Fred G. Sanford. The arguments with Aunt Esther were nothing short of hilarious. Larry Lacy, Pastor, The Answer Church Well, since I think I am a "super sleuth" I would love to be Agatha Christie and solve numerous mysteries. Dr. Mary Drabik, President, South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary I have long admired Navy Commander Pug Henry in the book and TV Series The Winds of War. As a Naval Attaché prior to WWII, he was able to meet all the pivotal leaders of that conflict from Roosevelt to Churchill, to Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. It would have been a fascinating time in which to live. Mike McDermott, PA, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, The Keyes Company A fun character to change places for a week would Mary Tyler Moore from the Mary Tyler Moore Show. I would enjoy wearing her swanky outfits and living in her classy apartment with great neighbors like Rhoda and Phyllis. It would be fun going to work in a newsroom where there are no serious stories to report and not a whole lot to do other than enjoy my friends and all their idiosyncrasies. Oksana Horton, Artistic Director, Torch and Trumpet Theater Co. To change places with JB Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) of Murder She Wrote, would be so much fun. To spend a week during the summer in Cabot Cove, Maine, a small fishing town, would be so exhilarating and refreshing. Fresh vegetables and seafood every night! Of course, there would be a murder to solve to spice things up, while working on writing a book. Please send me now! Patricia Colangelo, EdS, Lecturer, Professor, Trinity International University - Florida If I could trade places with a TV show character for a week, I can’t help but think of one of my favorite shows when I was a kid “Gilligan’s Island”… I would consider trading places with Gilligan for one week…Anyone old enough to know the theme song it says “no phones, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury…“ However, Gilligan seemed pretty happy and healthy drinking coconut milk directly from a coconut and living on coconut cream pie, living in a grass hut with a ceiling fan and sleeping in a hammock lol sounds pretty good to me for a week… (I would bring my wife and my Bible) enjoying a week on Gilligans island!!! Coach Rick Andreassen, Founder and President, SAINTS Homeschool P.E. and SAINTS International Sports Ministry Opie on theAndy Griffith show would be the TV character I would love to be for a week. The week would need to include one withAndy teaching Opie a life lesson, Barnie trying to put his erroneous spin on it and with Opie ending up in Aunt B’s kitchen eating her cookies with a large class of milk! Romney C. Rogers, Managing Partner, Roger Morris & Ziegler LLP The TV character that would be most fun to change places with would be Superman. The superpowers like flying would be cool, but what I like best is the heroism that he possessed. He was in this world but not of this world, he was from another planet and people saw something different about him just like what our Christian walk should look like as we stand out in this world as citizens of Heaven. Steve Daigle, Campus Pastor, Calvary Chapel Parkland Growing up some of my most fun times was Saturday morning with the whole family home…knowing they were there…hustling and bustling around the house before everyone took off in their separate ways…me I would be tucked away in the living room watching on the old black and white TV…Looney Tunes…My Favorite TV show character…Bugs Bunny…”What’s UPDOC???” Changing places with him and all his antics would be a blast! Steve Solomon, Area Director, CBMC South Florida Wants to Know… Dolores King-St. George Don Campion Edwin Copeland Fidel Gomez Fred Scarbrough Gregg Wallick Helen Wayner James ‘JT’ Taylor Dr. Jessica Vera Larry Lacy
