75 NOVEMBER 2021 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition OUT AND ABOUT Rebuilding Together Broward County, a nonprofit organization that brings volun- teers and communities to- gether to improve the homes and lives of low-income home- owners, hosted its second an- nual “Black Dresses & Blueprints,” cocktail reception and awards ceremony cele- brating women in the construc- tion industry on October 20. The event recognized out- standing women who have made an impact in the con- struction industry and their community. Proceeds from the event benefitted Rebuilding To- gether Broward County. The in-person event took place at the Broward Center for the PerformingArts in the Mary N. Porter Riverview Ballroom. Honorees included Tamara Chase, CEO and co- founder of Chase Roofing; Joy Lynskey, founder and creative director at Jewel Toned Interi- ors; and Stephanie Rodriguez, regional senior vice president of Duke Realty. Sisters Mia Bella Nepola and Ava Nepola were honored with the Young Rebuilder Award. Event sponsors included Founder Sponsors ABC Florida East Coast, Miller Con- struction Company, and The Home Depot Foundation, among others. Since 2003, Rebuilding Together Broward County has rehabilitated more than 1,200 homes and community cen- ters, investing more than $9 million into the community.
