Good News - April 2020

We have power beyond ourselves. Love that causes us to run toward in- stead of away, and self-control that keeps us from running around like chicken little. Calm is contagious. Now is the time to lead like this verse is real to you. Craig Huston , Huston Consulting Group, LLC My answer is James 1:19 where it talks about being quick to listen and slow to speak. Here’s why that is so impactful for me right now. As a pastor who is still trying to make a difference for the kingdom of heaven, I am more and more understanding the importance of listening to the Lord speaking through the Scriptures and through others, as to who, how, and when. Daryl Nelson , Pastor, Calvary Chapel of the Palm Beaches In these days when it’s easy to let the spirit of fear trump Faith, I’ve been camping out in the promises of Psalm 91 and am encouraged to reset my heart of affection on our Lord. “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him securely on high, because he has known my name.” Since we’re seated with Christ in heavenly places, we can have a different perspective on what’s transpiring. I believe this could be the Church’s finest hour as we cast a lifesaving message to fearful ones of hope and salvation in Christ alone. Deborah Cusick, FAU Campus Volunteer, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship The Bible verse that has recently been impactful for me personally, and professionally is John 15:27 – “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” With all the responsibilities, waves of ever changing information, emotional roller coasting, and “excited” neighbors, it’s imperative to find some peace. God is such a liberal giver to His children and a trusted promise keeper as the Resurrection Reality reminds us. grateful #EasterRocks! Dennis DeMarois, CEO/Executive Director, Gathering Palm Beach Coronavirus spreading, stockmarket crashing, politicians pointing fingers, restricted travel, media gone nuts… and yet the our Creator instructs us – Philippians 4:6 (NIV) “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Wow isn’t awesome to know that God is in control? Don Campion , President, Banyan Air Service John 4:1-26 Recently I have been leading a study called “definingmoments” by Pastor Andy Stanley. His breakdown of John 4:1-26 known to all of us as the “women at the well” really moved me. It was my story of coming to God. Many of us try every worldly way to find personal pleasure before we turn to God to fill that hole that is in all of us without God! Fred Scarbrough , DVM, Founder, Scarbrough Animal Hospital and Hope South Florida We have been studying 1 Corinthians 15-16 in Bible Study Fellowship this week. I am so thankful that in these troubled times, theWord of God keeps us grounded and that we are eternally secure because Jesus saves. Our last Bible study question this past week was: How did this week’s study impact your thinking about eternal security? “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, Odeath, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:54-58 And: “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure they will have no fear.” Psalm 112:7-8 Gita Santangelo , Community Prayer Partner The Bible verse that has recently impacted me is Ecclesiastes 3: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens, in- cluding Coronavirus. And this, too, will pass. Gregg Wallick , President, Best Roofing, Inc. “Even as a small child raised in the Catholic Church, I knew in my heart that God would take care of me. We were a typical immigrant family. Both par- ents worked in order to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. It was not an easy time but we were so grateful for our freedoms and for all we had!! Jeremiah 29:11 was the verse the Lord gave me when I was saved at the young age of 18. It has been my Reality through life since then... God’s word never fails. Through heartache, sorrow, rejection and pain, God’s Love Never fails... ❤ ” Helen Wayner P.A., Century 21 Hansen Realty Wants to Know… Gregg Wallick Helen Wayner Dr. Mary Drabik Dr. Michael Rozenblum Milan Stefanovic O’Neal Dozier Daryl Nelson Deborah Cusick Dennis DeMarois Don Campion Fred Scarbrough Gita Santangelo
