Good News - February 2019

lived, walked and saved the world! Huge bucket list for me! Fred Scarbrough, DVM, Founder, Scarbrough Animal Hospital and HOPE South Florida If I could have three extra days I would enjoy the time with my wife, Heather, and our girls who have grown up so quickly. I thank God for so many memories as we have raised the girls together. George R. Moraitis, Jr., Moraitis, Cofar, Karney, Moraitis & Quailey Really simple for me...I would close our offices and challenge each person to "live free" - find something that they want to do and do it. For me, I would gather my hus- band and kids and venture off to some destination. I may even just close my eyes and pick a spot. What I would not do, is add more days to the productivity calendar. Germaine Smith-Baugh, president and CEO, Urban League of Broward I guess if I had an extra 3 days available, I would offer up what I like to call a “split second prayer,” from God’s Word. Lord, “teach (me) to number (my) days aright so that (I) may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Gita Santangelo, Community Prayer Partner If I was given three additional personal days I would visit my 85-year-old mother in Orlando for obvious reasons. Gregg Wallick , President and CEO, Best Roofing, Inc. I would meet my two daughters (one lives in London and the other in NYC) for a quick getaway in Paris. We might even take a cooking class. JoAnne Daudt, JoAnne Larson Daudt, P.A. It would be nice to spend 1 day alone in nature by the ocean seeking God. I’d like to spend the 2nd and 3rd day on brief getaway with my family to surprise my daughter at college. We love our spontaneous trips! Kevin Enders, President, 4KIDS of South Florida I would most likely enjoy the time off and do all those things that a busy schedule doesn’t allow; lunch with friends, hang out with my grandson, a movie, time at the beach....probably just stay home and enjoy Ft. Lauderdale. Sweet and Simple! Linda Giambattista, Executive Director, Taylor’s Closet If I had three extra days this year I would take my family to go see theArk encounter in Kentucky. I have wanted to go since it opened and this would be the perfect op- portunity to make memories that will last a lifetime! Dr. MaryDrabik, President, South FloridaBibleCollege&Theological Seminary If I had themiracle of three extra days, I would go to St. Simons Island withmy friend, Joyce, and tour all of the old cemeteries. We would read the headstones and talk about the "friends" we met in The St. Simons Island historical novels trilogy by Eu- genia Price, as if we really knew them! We did that once, 40 years ago, and it has remained a unique and special memory ever since. Nancy McDonald, retired President/CEO, Hope Women’s Centers My three days would be spent in New York City. The first day would be spent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art followed up by Indian food in the East Village. Days 2 & 3 would be spent taking in the vibrancy of the City and all it has to offer - Rockefeller Center, the Upper East Side, the incredible shopping - with each day punctuated with a Broadway show. New York, New York - the perfect 3-day getaway. Oksana Horton, Artistic Director, Revelation Ministries if I were given three more days in the month of February and those three extra days were my own personal days I would use those days as a retreat to rest from the re- cent busy holiday season. O’Neal Dozier, Pastor, The Worldwide Christian Center King Pompilius added February to complete the year out with an "unlucky number of days". To have 3 more days within the year that you could use as your personal days, would be a gift. One that would give you more time in whatever matters most in your life or an area that is short-changed. For me, it would be to spend more time alone with God, a time to rejuvenate, a time to pray and mostly a time to listen. Patricia Colangelo, EdS, Director of Operations – Florida, Trinity International University If I had three extra days... I would take my family on a dive trip to Islamorada in the Florida Keys (A little bit of heaven on earth)... enjoying God‘s peace and presence! A time of refreshment for the heart!!! Coach Rick Andreassen, Founder/President, SAINTS International Sports Ministry and SAINTS of Florida Homeschool P.E. I can only dream what I would do with three extra days. If they were given to me as extra days I would go on a cruise with my wife to the Bahamas and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Ron Bramos, Senior Pastor, Victory Life Church If I had 3 extra days in February. I’d take a trip to my hometown and try to reconnect with some old friends that I’ve missed over the years. Rosby L. Glover, PhD, Executive Director, Mount Bethel Human Services Corporation As far as I know, February only has 28 days because March 1st starts right after the Wants to Know… Don Campion Doug Sauder Fred Scarbrough George R. Moraitis Germaine Smith-Baugh Gita Santangelo Gregg Wallick Jo Anne Daudt Kevin Enders Linda Giambattista Dr. Mary Drabik Nancy McDonald
