Good News - February 2019

This month we found ourselves pondering likeAndy Rooney on 60 Minutes. Good News Wants to Know… Why does February only have 28 days?And if suddenly you couldhave those extra three days in the year as your own personal days, what would you do - that you never had time for before - with those unique never before available three days? I believe February has 28 days be- cause it is our month to catch our breath before the grind of ten more months of hard work and dedication to make this a better community for all. My father also passed away many years ago at 28 on the 28th, so for me it is a day of reflection on how I want to honor his memory. If I could add those three days for my own personal days, I would spend time with my family and work to catch up on our personal “To Do List” before getting back to that grind. Happy New Year! I would design the time and combine a few of the key things I love but am usually challenged to find the time to enjoy, My sce- nario would be to embark on a 3-night cruise along with people I love but don't get enough quality time with. Daytime hours would allow or for rare uninterrupted writing time, a work out, dip in the pool, and possibly a nap. The perfect reward after each productive day of writing would be dressing up and heading to the dinning room for a gourmet dinner with friends. In cruise ship style, after dinner we would take in a live show in the theater then finding somewhere on-board playing good music for some dancing as an end to a perfectly designed bonus day! If we were ever rewarded to have three extra days in February I would capitalize converting those days into investing in the 3 r’s, Relationships (God&Wife) Relaxation and Recreation. Not to counsel or respond to, but to deeply listen to their hearts and their history...and feel like I don’t have to fix them. Living in South Florida and close to the beach, we find that we rarely go and enjoy time relaxing at the beach. So, I guess with my 3 extra days and as busy as I already am I would do nothing ex- cept rest, relax and refresh for 3 days at the beach! I’d purge files and organize information on the personal and business side and go into March with a new spring in my step.
