OUT AND ABOUT 34 SEPTEMBER 2018 Good News • South Florida Edition Members of South Florida’s pro-life community gathered in unity at Tropical Acres in Fort Lauderdale on August 14 for a brand new forum for coopera- tion: Luncheons 4 Life. These free luncheons, which will be held on the second Tuesday of every month, bring diverse elements of the move- ment together to learn about the many resources available to save families from the aftermath of abortion. The goal is to maxi- mize the impact of our re- sources by working together. The concept for Luncheons 4 Life began at Delmonico’s in New Orleans but was imported to Florida’s West Coast in 2013 by Janine Marrone and the late Kathie Majerchin. Luncheons 4 Life is for everyone called to defend the lives of the unborn, including pregnancy resource centers, adoption agencies, sidewalk counselors, medical profession- als, social service organizations, church pastors or staff and indi- viduals who are simply looking for a way to serve.
