Good News - September 2018

GoodNewsFL.org 33 SEPTEMBER 2018 OUT AND ABOUT As they celebrate their third anniversary, the Down- town Harbor Church Board of Trustees recently an- nounced a change in leader- ship roles. Adam Duckworth, a na- tionally acclaimed author on the subject of volunteering, will be stepping back from the role of Lead Communi- cator and will be transition- ing into his new role as Volunteer Coordinator. This change will also allow Adam to attend to his growing travel business, which in- creasingly requires travel and extensive time away. John Garippa will be transitioning into a new role for Downtown Harbor Church as Lead Pastor. They believe his educational background with bachelor degrees in both English and Religion from Wake Forest University, as well as a Mas- ter’s Degree in Theology from Knox Theological Sem- inary, has prepared him to lead this church into the fu- ture. At the same time, John will maintain his previous role as Executive Director of the church running its oper- ations and staff. For more information, visit soflochurch.com .
