Because of the generosity of donors across the United States, Operation Christmas Child delivers more than 8 mil- lion shoeboxes packed with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items to needy chil- dren around the world, bring- ing joy and the eternal hope of the Gospel. You can participate by packing your own shoebox and dropping it off at a local collection site during National Collection Week November 12 – 19, 2018. Want to find out where your shoebox is going? Now you can even find out where your shoebox gift is headed by donating $9 online to Follow Your Box. You’ll re- ceive a tracking label, and help cover shipping and other min- istry expenses. “It’s incredible to see the difference a simple shoebox gift can make in the life of a child. They bring the message of un- conditional love and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse. “After 25 years, there’s still nothing like seeing how one gift can impact the eternal destiny of a child.” Combined with those col- lected from partnering countries in 2017, the ministry is now sending more than 11 million shoebox gifts to children suffer- ing from poverty, natural disas- ters, war, disease and famine. Many children who receive shoebox gifts will also enroll in Operation Christmas Child’s 12-lesson discipleship pro- gram, The Greatest Journey, which teaches children about God’s amazing love and guides them through what it means to faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
