40 MARCH 2026 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition COMMUNITY NEWS During a historic Celebration Event at the Lauderdale Yacht Club on February 24th, StrikeForce Giving gave more than $389,000 in grants to seven Christian nonprofit ministries in South Florida, adding up to a total of more than $2 million in funding allocated to ministries since its inception. A women’s giving circle, StrikeForce Giving members pool their resources for greater impact, deciding together which Christian ministries will receive their grants to fund special projects that help those in need and proclaim the gospel. Christine Auker, president of StrikeForce Giving, said “This is more than a celebration, it’s a testament to the power of women coming together in faith to create lasting impact.” The following grant awards represent the generosity and collective giving power of StrikeForce Giving’s 130 members. 4KIDS’ His Caring Place was granted $50,832 to purchase a Toyota Sienna, fully equipped with car seats and essentials, providing safe rides for moms and babies. AWANA was granted $60,000 to launch 20 new Spanish-speaking programs to reach 1,000 Latino children ages 2-18, planting seeds of faith in the next generation. The Caring Place was granted $129,396 to fund critical facility updates at their Hollywood campus, including installation of impact windows to continue care during storms. Hope South Florida was granted $50,000 to provide transportation assistance and stability to families facing homelessness. Love INC of Broward was granted $15,000 to launch Servant Leadership Academy, a hands-on experience equipping GenZ participants to serve others and grow in faith. Relate Well Live Well was granted $46,482 to develop the Parent Well Curriculum, a skills-based program designed to strengthen parent-child relationships. Watermark Gospel was granted $36,764 to complete two new animated videos on Hannah and the woman caught in adultery, expanding their series that brings women of the Bible to life.
