38 JUNE 2026 Good News • South Florida Edition Celebrates Graduates 2026 Isabella Aguirre Valedictorian Saint John Paul II Academy With a 3.99 GPA and 4.62 HPA, Isabella Aguirre of Delray Beach is president of Mu Alpha Theta, co-president of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, student team leader for Blood Cancer United and an English teacher and volunteer for the Extending a Hand Foundation. She was selected as a Leadership Fellow for Grow Palm Beach County and earned AP Scholar with Distinction, National Hispanic Recognition, the Jefferson Book Award from the University of Virginia and commendation in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Marisa Robinson Valedictorian St. Thomas Aquinas High School With a 5.450 GPA, Marisa Robinson is a Veritas Scholar, National Merit Commended Scholar, College Board School-Based Scholar and member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Science, English, Spanish and Athletic honor societies, and Rho Kappa. A four-year varsity soccer player, she was part of the 2026 state championship team and named a BCAA Scholar Athlete. Marisa co-founded the Caring Place Easter Basket Drive, delivered backpacks through Matthew 25 Ministry, coached children through TOPSoccer, assembled toiletry bags with Harvest Drive Florida and served as president of the Special Olympics Club. She plans to attend the University of Florida to study pre-med applied physiology and kinesiology. Deven Onore Salutatorian St. Thomas Aquinas High School With a 5.433 GPA, Deven Onore is a Veritas Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction and School Recognition Award recipient, National Merit Commended Student and Miami Herald Silver Knight nominee in General Scholarship. He is a member of the National, National Technical, English, Spanish and Athletic honor societies, Mu Alpha Theta and Rho Kappa. Deven served as president of STA Ambassadors, vice president of Paddles 4 a Purpose and Forever Friends Club, a three-year Raider boys golf team member and STA Mathletes participant. He also volunteered hundreds of hours with Broward Teen Court while his team raised $85,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He plans to attend the University of Florida to study mechanical engineering. Kathleen Towery Salutatorian Saint John Paul II Academy With a 3.99 GPA and 4.54 HPA, Kathleen Towery earned the College Board School Recognition Award for Academics and AP Scholar Award with Distinction. She is a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, and serves as president of the SJPII Science Club. Kathleen earned Academic Achievement Awards in AP Chemistry, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Math for Data & Financial Literacy, Honors Geometry, AP Human Geography, Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology and Spanish 1, received the Bright Futures Academic Scholarship Award and Outstanding Community Service Award all four years. She plans to attend the Clemson University Honors College. Sophia Cohen Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School Sophia Cohen is known for her initiative, teamwork and servant leadership. She was invited to NASA to shadow professionals and International Space Station officers, participated in a judicial shadow program in Palm Beach County and gained experience through the Congressional Youth Leadership Council Program. A member of the Civil Air Patrol, she served as school newspaper editor, team captain, sound booth technician and elected class representative while excelling in a rigorous academic program and extracurricular activities. Known for her respectful demeanor, communication skills and sense of humor, Sophia is recognized by peers as someone who gets the job done. Mia Kruspe Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School Mia Kruspe is known for her integrity, athleticism, and servant leadership. A varsity athlete in volleyball, soccer, basketball and baseball, she earned school, county and national recognition serving as captain or co-captain of multiple teams. She joined the school musical, volunteered 300 community service hours and maintained a GPA above 4.0 in a rigorous college preparatory program. Mia served as president of the National Honor Society, participated in Student Government and completed in the Defender Leadership Institute, including a capstone service project. She was also selected to compete for the Racine Bells in the 2025 All-American Women’s Baseball Classic powered by USA Baseball. Timothy “Drew” McQueeney Valedictorian The King’s Academy Drew is at the top of his class and graduates with an impressive 4.718 cumulative weighted GPA and has been recognized by the College Board as an AP Scholar with Honor. Drew has served as Varsity Swim Team Captain, Ambassador Chair, on Varsity Mock Trial, Moot Court, as a Titus 2 Mentor, and in the Symphonic Orchestra. Drew graduates having taken 16 Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses with four distinctions, including Business; Christian Leadership; O'Keeffe Pre-Law Studies; and The Smith Family Conservatory of the Arts Distinction in Instrumental Arts. With plans to study Political Science, Drew will attend Liberty University. Brooke Bloeser Salutatorian The King’s Academy As a top student in her class, Brooke has achieved an impressive 4.710 cumulative weighted GPA and has been recognized as a College Board AP Scholar with Distinction. Brooke has served as vice president of Rho Kappa National Honor Society, as team captain of the varsity mock trial team, and as an ambassador for the O’Keeffe Pre-Law Studies program. Notably, she graduated with the Pre-Medical: Medical Sciences and O'- Keeffe Pre-Law Studies distinctions. In the fall, Brooke will attend the University of Florida, where she plans to major in science before attending medical school.
