32 JUNE 2026 Good News • South Florida Edition Celebrates Graduates 2026 Chase Brightup Outstanding Student Leader Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) With a weighted GPA of 4.83 at Cooper City High School, Chase Brightup earned Principal’s Honor Roll and was a leader in the FCA chapter. He was a 2025/2026 High School Football America Florida Academic All-American and a starting middle linebacker and captain of the Cooper City High School football team. He was named to the Broward County South All-Star team, BCAA AllStar football team and All-Academic team. He is a varsity 215-pound wrestler and team captain who placed third in the BCAA Wrestling Championship. He was also the nominee for the Brian Piccolo Scholar-Athlete Award and has been accepted to Florida State University and University of Central Florida to study engineering. David Reales Valedictorian Cooper City Christian Academy David Reales is a graduate of Cooper City Christian Academy. A Class Valedictorian, Principal’s Honor Roll student, and recipient of the Christian Character and Step Up Rising Stars Awards, David led as Student Council President and P7 Club leader. He also earned 40 dual enrollment credits at Broward College. Through faithful service and mentorship, he modeled true leadership. As he continues at Broward College to study Respiratory Therapy and pursue his master’s in Anesthesiology, we honor his hard work and bright future ahead. Noah Riche Outstanding Student Leader Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Noah Riche earned a 5.58 GPA and is graduating as valedictorian of Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School. He served as a student leader and Bible teacher of the FCA club on campus and is a member of National Honors Society. A varsity track and field athlete, he earned Student Athlete of the Week honors. His awards include College Board African American and National Recognition, two Outstanding Cambridge Awards, AICE Diploma with Merit, FAS Bright Futures, top 10% recognition, scholar-athlete honors, and multiple honor rolls. He has worked hard at Burger King, Publix, and currently McDonald’s since freshman year. Noah will attend Florida International University this fall. Cate Goddeau-Hall Outstanding Student Leader Fellowship of Christian Athletes Cate Goddeau-Hall graduates with a 5.09 GPA, Capstone Diploma, and dual enrollment coursework. Cate was a 2026 Under Armour All American Flag Football Player as well as part of the U.S. 17U National Team in 2024. Cate served her peers in FCA being the single huddle leader at her school. She organized the meetings and engaged with her peers both inside and outside the huddles utilizing her story of Christ and athletics to encourage and inspire others. Cate is attending the University of Florida studying sports management on a pre-law track along with joining the UF Club Flag Football Team. Madelyn Odom Valedictorian First Baptist Academy Madelyn Odom is the Valedictorian of First Baptist Academy with a 4.4 GPA and 4.2 UGPA, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She attended FBA since K5 and maintained straight A’s throughout school. Madelyn served as Class President for four years, earned MVP awards in volleyball and basketball, and won state singing and speaking competitions. Her life verse is Isaiah 26:3. Madelyn plans to attend The Crown College of the Bible to pursue teaching and Christian service. Melenie Peralta Salutatorian First Baptist Academy Melenie Peralta is the Salutatorian of First Baptist Academy with a 4.2 GPA, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has attended FBA since 6th grade and has achieved many things for the Lord. Melenie played the clarinet in the school and church orchestra, worked on the school's yearbook team, played on championship volleyball and basketball teams, and won singing and speaking competitions. Her life verse is Nehemiah 6:3. Melenie plans to attend Broward College and pursue a career as an engineer.
