More than 900 people have completed the program since it was started in 1990. Their testimonies serve as evidence of God’s healing power and redemption. Antony Tchividjian, director, Calvary House For Men, said, “Graduating from this program is a big deal. It’s a huge accomplishment. But at the same time, this isn’t the finish line; it’s a starting line.” He encouraged graduates that, “The people in this room and this church are here to help you along the way. Utilize this community God has surrounded you with.” In addressing the graduates, Doug Sauder, Pastor of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, reminded them, “God has a mission and a purpose for each of you. For all of us.” To learn more, visit calvaryftl.org/calvary-house/ Hundreds of supporters attended Hope Women’s Center’s “Legacy of Life and Light” Legacy Partners Dinner on September 26 at Bahia Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale to support their mission to encourage and equip women and men to make informed life-affirming decisions regarding unexpected pregnancies while sharing the love of Jesus Christ. The Keynote Speaker, Rebekah Hagan shared how “her biggest life regret” was redeemed and led to her pro-life ministry. Raised in a Christian home where abortion was not discussed, she found herself faced with a second unplanned teenage pregnancy and began a chemical abortion only to break down in tears moments later, frantically praying for a way to undo what she had done. God led her to the number of a faithbased women’s center, where she was connected to a doctor within hours who successfully reversed its effects, allowing her to give birth to a healthy baby boy and providing her with the spiritual and emotional support she needed. Today she is married, has four beautiful children, and is a strong pro-life advocate. Hagan said that over two-thirds of abortions are now chemical abortions and seven out of ten women who take the abortion pill are sent to the ER due to its adverse effects. Joy Tool, executive director of Hope Women’s Centers, shared that they have helped more than 35,000 abortion minded women choose life for their babies since the ministry began in the 1987, and 562 babies have been saved at Hope so far this year. “We are determined to be light in the darkness; to stand for hope amid dire circumstances,” said Tool. “We do this by providing compassionate and excellent care while sharing the gospel.” For information on how you can help, visit friendsofhope.com.
