Good News - November 2025

24 NOVEMBER 2025 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition CHURCH UNITED What’s happening throughout the Church in South Florida is special. Don’t believe it? Come see for yourself. Across denominations, cities and congregations, the Church is coming together like never before — united by a shared mission to love like Jesus and see our communities renewed by the gospel. This December, you’re invited to be part of that movement at one of our favorite gatherings of the year: the Church United Night of Worship and Celebration, happening Wednesday, December 3rd from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. This isn’t an event — it’s a family reunion. Join alongside fellow brothers and sisters of Christ to worship, pray, and celebrate together about what God is doing across South Florida. What to expect From the moment you arrive, you’ll sense something special. A room filled with pastors, ministry leaders, church staff members, and most importantly: Christians from churches all over South Florida coming together not around one local church brand or event, but around one name: Jesus. Throughout the evening, you’ll experience: • Worship led by The Village Hymns – a network of local worship leaders from churches across South Florida whose united voice has become a soundtrack of Church United. • Stories of transformation – celebrating how the Love Like Jesus teaching series and Good Neighbor Days brought hundreds of congregations together to serve, love and make a tangible impact in their neighborhoods. • A powerful message of encouragement – a local pastor who will call us to deeper unity, faith and expectancy for what God is doing and what we anticipate the future to be. • Moments of prayer and reflection – as we seek an awakening of God’s people throughout South Florida, asking Him to continue knitting His Church together for the sake of the gospel and the good of our cities. What we’re celebrating This year has been marked by unprecedented collaboration and gospel movement. Across South Florida, churches are shifting from a mindset of competition to one of co-laboring — recognizing that when we work together, our collective witness becomes stronger and more compelling. Through initiatives like Love Like Jesus and Good Neighbor Days, we’ve watched the Church embody this spirit of unity in practical, powerful ways. Hundreds of congregations collaborated in teaching and service, demonstrating the beauty of the Body of Christ moving as one. But perhaps even more exciting is what’s happening beyond Sunday. We’re seeing a growing number of Christians catch a vision for connecting Sunday’s faith to Monday’s work — living out the gospel in their offices, schools, businesses and neighborhoods. The Church is beginning to see that mission doesn’t end when the service does; it continues every day and in every place the people of God live, work and play. This slow shift — this 30-year vision of church connection and collaboration — a mindset moving from competition to collaboration, from attendance to engagement, from church buildings to everyday mission — is something worth celebrating. It’s evidence that the Spirit of God is stirring His people toward unity, purpose and action for the renewal of our cities. Why you should join This year’s Night of Worship and Celebration is more than a look back — it’s a look forward and a moment of reorientation and refreshment. It’s a time to be reminded that we are the people of God — no matter what local church we attend or worship at. It’s an opportunity to pause, give thanks and be inspired by what’s possible when God’s people work together. If you’ve ever wondered what Heaven may look and sound like, this is your night and invitation to catch a small preview. We promise you’ll leave encouraged, connected and filled with fresh faith for what God is doing in our region. A night of worship. A family gathering. A movement of hope. When we come together—across denominations, generations and cultures — we display something powerful: the beauty of a diverse Church, united in Christ. This night is a reminder that God is writing a story far bigger than any one church or organization. We believe He’s calling His people in South Florida to a new season of awakening — one marked by unity, repentance, love and mission. You, your family and your entire local church are invited to join us.
