38 JUNE 2025 Good News • South Florida Edition Celebrates Graduates 2025 Sebastian Diaz Valedictorian St. Thomas Aquinas High School Sebastian Diaz is a Merit Scholar, Silver Knight Nominee, AP Scholar with Distinction, National Hispanic Scholar, Harvard Book Award recipient, and Science Olympiad Optics Winner. He’s Director of Outreach for Mu Alpha Theta, Co-President of Aquinas Kindness, and active in National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Rho Kappa, and Gardening Club. He’s taken 16 AP and 6 Dual Enrollment courses, tutors peers, leads at a senior home, co-developed STA’s STEM Open House, and created a solar irrigation system adopted by the Davie Town Council. He was also Captain of STA’s Wrestling Team. Sebastion will attend Johns Hopkins to study Electrical Engineering and Biological Sciences. Jeremiah Williams Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School Jeremiah Williams, a Lake Worth Christian student since 3rd grade, maintained straight A’s throughout school, graduating with a 4.7 GPA and 4.0 HPA. A consistent Honor Roll student, he graduates Summa Cum Laude with an Honors Diploma. He is a National Honor Society member and Bright Futures Academic Scholar. Jeremiah completed the Defender Leadership Institute (DLI), a4-year program to developed Christian leadership skills and served at a nursing home through Redemption Church. His DLI capstone expanded that service. Jeremiah will attend Liberty University with an Academic Scholarship to study Business. Chase Carroll Salutatorian St. Thomas Aquinas High School Chase Carroll is a National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, and Veritas Scholar, earning Principal’s Honor Roll all four years at STA. He served as Co-VP of the STEM Club, Senior Officer of the Marine Biology Club, Historian of Mu Alpha Theta, and President of the National Science Honor Society. He’s also in National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, and five other honor societies. A standout in soccer, he was All-Broward, All-State, and Academic All-American. Chase logged 500+ service hours, founded a tutoring business, interned at Miami EdTech, and earned scholarships from top universities. He will attend MIT to study Civil and Environmental Engineering. Vidhi Verma Valedictorian Sheridan Hills Christian School Vidhi is the Valedictorian of the class of 2025 and has attended Sheridan Hills Christian School since K3. Vidhi served as an officer of the House of Ten Boom and President of the National Honor Society. She was a Sheridan Hills Christian School Shakespeare Company member and appeared in performances of Our Town, Diary of Anne Frank and Bye Bye Birdie. Vidhi earned the Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in Business Administration and Finance for a career as an entrepreneur. Vidhi is graduating with a 4.87 grade point average. Olivier Mathias Salutatorian Sheridan Hills Christian School Olivier is the salutatorian of the Class of 2025, and he has attended Sheridan Hills Christian School since Kindergarten. Olivier is an accomplished pianist and avid tennis player who has performed for our worship band for several years. He has also served as an officer of the House of Wilberforce since the 8th grade and will attend Florida Atlantic University to study Biomedical Science on a Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholarship. Olivier is graduating with a 4.68 grade point average. Logan Billington Valedictorian Saint John Paul II Academy AP Scholar with Distinction; National Merit Finalist; awarded Harvard Prize Book; earned multiple Academic Excellence awards in various subjects; Spanish Honors Society President; National Honors Society Member; National English Honors Society Member; Mu Alpha Theta Member; Co-leading actor in The Dark Hammock, an independent film that was accepted into 20 film festivals and received 7 awards; 100+ volunteer hours at the Miracle League of Palm Beach County, a baseball league for children with disabilities and special needs Maura Evans Salutatorian Saint John Paul II Academy I was involved in student government both freshman (treasurer) and senior year (secretary), Green Club, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, SJP 4 USA, Best Buddies Club, Women's Leadership Club, Ambassador Club, President and Founder of the Marine Life Club, and captain of the varsity volleyball team. I also volunteered at Miracle League and Bethesda Hospital East, participated in the Florida Senate page program, and was able to be a leader on Kairos.
