Their transformational gift will fund the purchase of a dedicated CT scanner that enhances the diagnostic capabilities in the Emergency Department (ED) as well as conversion of an existing X-ray room into a dedicated CT room in the ED. Their gift will also support renovations and capital improvements in the hospital, including the acquisition of new medical equipment. Holy Cross Health will proudly name the building where the ED is located as the Wanda and Jim Moran, Jr. Emergency Department. “Our family has a longstanding relationship with Holy Cross Health,” said Jim Moran, Jr., President and Founder of the Wanda & Jim Moran Foundation. "We have always supported the Holy Cross mission and believe deeply in their commitment to providing exceptional care to the community. By contributing to the new CT scanner for the emergency department, we hope to ensure that patients receive the most advanced diagnostic technology when they need it most." The state-of-the-art Philips Spectral CT 7500 will be operational in the Holy Cross ED in late 2025/early 2026, significantly elevating the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities. “We are so blessed to have this donation, which will have a lasting impact on our ministry,” said Mark Doyle, President and CEO of Holy Cross Health. “This generous gift from the Moran’s and their foundation is not just an investment in equipment and capital improvements, it is an investment in the well-being of our community who rely on us every day as their trusted health partner.” This year marked the 15th Annual 4KIDS South Florida Orphans Classic, presented by Gunther Motor Company. The event took place at Coral Ridge Country Club, where over 100 golfers came together for a day filled with camaraderie, competition and purpose. Players not only enjoyed a round of golf but also engaged in a meaningful mission: raising funds to support children and families in crisis. The success of the event was made possible by the incredible commitment of the community. With an exciting online auction and a selection of luxury raffle prizes, these initiatives not only added to the fun but also played a significant role in fundraising efforts, allowing 4KIDS to raise over $215,000! Each dollar raised allows 4KIDS to continue providing essential services, resources, and support to those who need it most. 4KIDS extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, donated and volunteered. Together, we are building a brighter future for children and families impacted by the foster care system.
