Awarding $400,000 total to help 40 nonprofits, the Community Foundation hopes to make a BOLD impact and shape a brighter future for Broward. After a rigorous application process of over 200 applicants, President and CEO Jennifer O'Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., presented grants at a ceremony at the Community Foundation of Broward office on Thursday, Oct. 17. The new grants – $10,000 each – will support 40 innovative, impactful opportunities for nonprofits to help the community by investing in projects and initiatives that make life better in Broward. “We are proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary with this creative grant initiative that will make a real difference across this community we love,” said O'FlanneryAnderson, Ph.D. “Each of these nonprofits’ creative ideas incorporate the number 40 while staying true to their mission and benefitting the community. We are excited to see how they use this opportunity.” The “40 for 40: Spread the Love Grants” grantees and their projects include: 1. All Florida Youth Orchestra, Inc.
