We’re thankful for the good work they’re doing in a wide variety of areas. Each one is making an eternal difference in our community in some way. We urge you to learn more about them and find a place where you can pitch in or offer encouragement. Because we were faced with the threat of Hurricane Helene this year, 14 of our original 60 confirmed charity leaders did not make it to the photoshoot; however, we’re grateful for the 42 who soldiered through to attend our 8th Annual Leading Charities and Foundations photoshoot. This year Good News Media Group invited several special guests from the community to witness behind the scenes. This included welcoming remarks by our gracious host Pastor David Hughes, lead pastor of First Baptist Fort Lauderdale, who recounted the obstacles they overcame in renovating and revitalizing the historic landmark church. Stephan Tchividjian, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Christian Foundation South Florida, offered words of encouragement to these leaders of charitable works. Our distinguished keynote speaker was Bob Hoskins, founder of OneHope, a global ministry with a mission to bring God’s Word to every child. Last year OneHope crossed the threshold of sharing God’s Word with 2 billion children since 1987. Beginning his mission at the age of 7, Hoskins drew vivid examples from his 81 years of ministry, urging on each servant leader in their ministries.
