36 JUNE 2024 Good News • South Florida Edition Celebrates Graduates 2024 Juliana Tibbs Valedictorian Jupiter Christian School Juliana Tibbs, Valedictorian, earned a GPA of 4.0 and HPA (Honors Point Average) of 4.54. She was Student Ambassador (2020-2024) and FACA (2021-2024). She was Soccer MVP (2022-2023) and was named Player of the year (2024). She earned the Mathematics excellence award (2021-2022), Foreign language excellence award (2021-2022), Community service award (2020-2024) and AP Scholar award (2023) was Junior marshal (2022-2023) and made the Principals list (2018-2024). Juliana participated in the National Hispanic Recognition Program (2023), was Senior prefect (20232024) and received a Pathfinder nomination for the category of Academic excellence (2024). She plans to attend the University of Miami School of Nursing. Chase Mitchell Salutatorian Jupiter Christian School Chase Mitchell, Salutatorian, is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, made the Principal's List in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 and was a Student of Distinction 2 years. He participated in SPAM Robotics in grades 10, 11 and 12. Chase held leadership positions in National Honors Society, serving as treasurer and historian and participated in the Government Class of 2024, president grade 10. He was a Marketing Club member - 11, 12, and Chess Club, member – 9, 10. He also received a Computer Science Award, Science Award, Math Award and English Award. Chase plans to attend Purdue University after graduation. Sarah Montero Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School A student at Lake Worth Christian since pre-k, Sarah was in the National Honor Society and served as vice president. She earned a HGPA of 4.93 and a GPA of 3.98 Selected as Pathfinder Scholarship nominee in Athletics, she played varsity volleyball 5 years and was team captain. She played varsity soccer in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade and beach volleyball in 10th and 11th grade, also serving as team captain. She was an intramural volleyball coach. She served as Student Council President 2 years, was in the writing Club, a member of the Defender Leadership Institute, co-founder of the Women for Truth bible study and traveled to Israel and Jordan. Sarah plans to attend Florida State University to major in criminology. Kyle Miller Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School Kyle has attended Lake Worth Christian from pre-k through 12th grade. He remained on the Principal’s Honor roll from middle school through high school and is finishing with a HGPA of 5.03 and a GPA of 4.0. A member of National Honor Society, he served as president this year. Kyle completed the Defender Leadership Institute. He received the Academic Scholars’ Award and was selected for the Pathfinder Scholarship program. Kyle played on the varsity golf team all 4 years and on the varsity volleyball team his senior year. He went to Mexico on a mission trip and traveled to Israel and Jordan with the LWC International Travel Studies Program. Kyle will be attending the University of Central Florida. Isabela Palacio Summa Cum Laude Lake Worth Christian School Isabela traveled with the International Travel Studies program to Israel and Jordan. She participated in the Defender Leadership Institute for 4 years and served on Student Council in the 11th and 12th grade. She is cofounder of the Women of Truth Bible Study and was a member of the writing Club in the 11th grade. Isabela has decided to attend Baylor University where she will study social work with a minor in Children and Families Studies. She enrolled at the University of Miami in their neuroscience exploration and public health program the Summer of 2023 and is confident that “God has led her towards a career as a children’s therapist in order to serve the foster care community.” Maria Claudia Ferer Valedictorian Saint John Paul II Academy Maria Ferer is an outstanding student who has been involved in a wide range of activities including Mu Alpha Theta, and Secretary of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and English Honor Society. She also served as the Parliamentarian of Student Government this year. She competed all four years on the cross-country team and has served as Captain since junior year. She was also a three-year member of the soccer team and also competed on the track and lacrosse teams. She has been accepted at Florida State University, University of South Florida, Florida Atlantic University, and the University of Florida. She will attend the University of Florida where she plans to study Biology. Maximus Alexander Tirado Salutatorian Saint John Paul II Academy Maximus Tirado is a two-year member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the English Honor Society, and served as Secretary of Spanish Honor Society this past year. He was also a 2-year member of the baseball and volleyball teams and was the Vice President of the Green Club this year. He has been accepted to Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of Miami, Seton Hall University, Clemson University, Florida Atlantic University and the University of Florida. He will attend the University of Florida where he will study Finance.
