Juline Delzince Valedictorian Calvary Christian Academy Hollywood Juline Delzince was accepted into 45 colleges and has decided to attend Clark Atlanta University where she will study Biology on a pre-med track. Juline was inducted into the National Honor Society in 2023. She has earned over 250 service hours and has volunteered on several missions/school trips. Her favorite school memory is taking the mission trip to Mexico. One memory that stuck out was meeting Ximina, a teenage mom. Juline ministered to Ximina and prayed with her. They were able to keep in touch over the years. Skye Paul Salutatorian Calvary Christian Academy Hollywood Diagnosed with ADHD, Skye struggled with learning to read and write in her early primary years. With the help of an occupational therapist, Skye was able to overcome her challenges. She went on to achieve high honors throughout middle and high school. During her senior year, she was inducted into the National Honor Society. Skye is heavily involved in extracurricular activities on campus. She is a member of the JV volleyball team, serves as a student leader for various activities, and has earned 494 community service hours. She plans to attend Howard University and major in Human Development. Nathaniel Gonzales Salutatorian Cardinal Newman Nathaniel Gonzales was president of the Newman Mass Ensemble/Chorus (Junior-Senior) and co-president of the Literary Club for the past year, with membership in the Newspaper, Philosophy, and Key Clubs as well as the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. He had 763.8 total service hours and received the Harvard Book Award, Senior Standout, AP Scholar with Distinction, the Community Service Award, and Highest Achievement in English. He was accepted to UF, UCF, and FAU but plans to attend Ave Maria University and study Nursing, hopefully to become a CRNA. Christopher Dougherty Valedictorian Cardinal Newman Christopher Dougherty achieved Eagle Scout Rank, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. He held leadership positions in the Literary Club and Philosophy Club and was awarded the highest score from the Florida Bandmasters Association for his flute solo. He earned the Florida Academic Scholars award through Bright Futures and was a Pathfinders nominee. He was a member and participated in many volunteer activities through the National and Spanish Honor Societies. He will attend the University of Florida to study biochemistry. Amelia De La Torre Valedictorian Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory Amelia De La Torre earned a 4.0 GPA and an Honors Point Average of 5.11. She has volunteered for over 550 hours of service and has attended five mission trips through her church's youth group. She is a National Merit Finalist and served as a 2022 delegate at the Global Youth Institute as a result of her research in Zambian water scarcity. Amelia plans to attend the University of Florida. Her ultimate goal is to work as a zoological conservationist. Averi Grace Volan Valedictorian Cooper City Christian Academy Averi has attended Cooper City Christian Academy from kindergarten through 12th grade. She has held many leadership positions, including Student Council Vice President and Student Council President. She has taught music lessons as part of her Leadership course, served as a teacher assistant in the kindergarten class and Sunday school, and earned over 250 hours of community service. Averi graduates with a High Honors High School Diploma, a 4.26 GPA, and has 27 dual enrollment credit hours from Broward College. David worked as a research intern for the JJ Vance Memorial Summer Internship program at the Hussman Institute of Human Genomics, which is part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. His accomplishments include: ChaminadeMadonna Football team 3x State Champion and 1x National Champion, top 10 every year, Student-Athlete Award for Football and Track and Field, BCAA Student-Athlete Award. David plans to attend Vanderbilt University.
