28 JUNE 2024 Good News • South Florida Edition Celebrates Graduates 2024 Brenley Jean Valedictorian Atlantic Christian Academy Brenley Jean, Atlantic Christian Academy’s 2024 Valedictorian was actively involved in the National Honor Society, HOSA, and Varsity Track and Field. Despite his demanding schedule, he maintained a 4.5 GPA and earned an associate in arts degree through the Palm Beach State College dual-enrollment program. Brenley’s dedication to excellence earned him a nomination for the esteemed Palm Beach Post Pathfinders Award in Mathematics. He will be attending the University of Florida, pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, aligning with his God-given talents and aspirations. Mia Bruce Salutatorian Atlantic Christian Academy Mia Bruce, Atlantic Christian Academy’s 2024 Salutatorian, has been integrally involved in the National Honors Society, the Vice President of our chapter of HOSA, and a member of the Varsity Track and Field and Soccer teams. Mia successfully navigated a rigorous curriculum, earning 11 honors, 6 Advanced Placement, and 7 Dual Enrollment credits while maintaining an impressive 4.48 GPA. Mia was nominated for the prestigious Palm Beach Post Pathfinders Award for Academic Excellence. Mia was accepted to and will be attending Florida Atlantic University in the fall, majoring in Biological Sciences. Kassandra Desiree Bueno Salutatorian Boca Raton Christian School As Salutatorian, Kassandra maintained a Gold Honor Roll status. She played Volleyball and Basketball, serving as captain and earning Most Improved Player in Volleyball. With 1000 community service hours, she served as a babysitter and Sunday School Teacher and engaged in the Crazy Love Club and Chick-fil-a Leadership Club. Inducted into the National Honor Society, she served as president and was a Junior Marshall. She was awarded the Silver Medal for the National Spanish Exam, Outstanding Student of the Year Award in Spanish 2, National Hispanic Recognition Award from the College Board, the Spidell Excellence in Math Award and was an ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Student. Blaine Jordan deWeber Valedictorian Boca Raton Christian School Blaine deWeber has thrived academically at Boca Christian, where he has earned a 4.56 GPA and a 1510 SAT score. He has been a six-time member of FMEA All-State as a clarinetist and vocalist and has served as Principal Clarinet of the Florida Youth Orchestra’s Principal Orchestra for three years. He has been named an AP Scholar with Honor and an ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Student with Outstanding Achievement in Academics, Leadership, Fine Arts, and Christian Service. Blaine plans to study music composition at Wheaton College (IL), where he has been offered 114K in scholarships. Ariel Linton Valedictorian Boca Raton Christian School As a College Board National African American Scholar, Ariel showcased academic prowess and dedication to service. Her influence extends beyond the classroom as the Student Council President, where she led with integrity and vision. On the field, she set records in Girls Varsity Track and Field shot put and she has earned the titles of Most Valuable Player for JV volleyball in 9th grade to Most Valuable Player for Varsity Track and Field in 11th grade, coupled with the distinction of Most Improved Player for varsity Soccer in 10th grade and Varsity Track and Field in both 10th and 12th grades. Jeffrey Campion Valedictorian Calvary Christian Academy Fort Lauderdale Jeffrey Campion plans to study Apologetics at Palm Beach Atlantic University in a quest to continue deepening his understanding of the answers to the most basic questions of life to help others. Jeffrey enjoys serving behind-the-scenes and doing jobs that others may not necessarily want to do, such as serving on the maintenance team at his church and mentoring students at less-fortunate schools. He is most proud of taking on the challenge of a full-time load of college and high school classes his senior year and earning all As. Sofia Fernandez Salutatorian Calvary Christian Academy Fort Lauderdale Sofia Fernandez will be attending the Honors Program at the University of Florida where she plans on pursuing majors in Journalism and Criminology. She has received the AP Capstone Diploma and a perfect ACT score. Additionally, she is a Silver Knight Nominee, a National Hispanic Scholar, and an AP Scholar with Distinction. She has also been published nine times through South Florida Cappies and started a book drive as the president of her school’s National English Honor Society. Her work experience includes working as an academic tutor and serving at her church Love Unlimited for five years.
