Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee (1996-2007) congratulated Coral Ridge Ministries on its 50th anniversary at a Golden Gala celebration November 16, at The Boca Raton. Huckabee spoke just days after President-elect Donald Trump asked him to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. A long-time friend of Israel who has visited the Jewish state some 100 times since he first went there in 1973, Huckabee said the opportunity to be ambassador, “which I was not expecting,” was a “God thing.” Huckabee’s new boss, President-elect Donald J. Trump also sent congratulations: “For five decades this ministry has been used to transform culture through broadcasting the message of the Gospel to our nation and beyond. Your founder, the late D James Kennedy, led the way in engaging the great moral issues of his day… I'm grateful for the work of Coral Ridge Ministries.” In remarks to the gala, Huckabee, a broadcaster, author, and former pastor, praised CRM’s ministry reach: “Even to this day no matter where the sun rises and in which time zone the ministry that Dr Kennedy created is still touching the lives of millions of people all over the world in 24 time zones.” He added warm words for Dr. Rob Pacienza, Coral Ridge Ministries President/CEO, and his wife, Jen. “Pastor Rob, to you and Jen I want to say God has not only blessed you to be leading this ministry. But he has blessed this ministry to have you to do it.” Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and a Coral Ridge Ministries Ambassador, with Jack Brewer, former NFL player, entrepreneur, and chairman of the Jack Brewer Foundation.
