Angelina Giresi Co-Salutatorian Trinity Christian Academy Angelina Giresi has approached her education with intensity by completing 1 AP class and several honors classes, and working at an after school job here on campus during her senior year. Her final cumulative weighted GPAis 4.23. Outside the classroomAngelina has enjoyed being an integral member of the Girl’s Varsity Soccer Team at TCA for two years, as well a significant member of the Varsity Softball Team for the past two years. Angelina plans to serve our country by entering the United States Coast Guard in August. David Louis Co-Salutatorian Trinity Christian Academy David Louis leaves a legacy among the faculty of TCAas being a hardworker frompreschool through twelfth grade. He has completed 1APclass, receiving college credit and takenmany honors classes during his career at TCA. His final GPAis also calculated at 4.23.Additionally, David has contributed to our sports program thoughout his high school years by playing varsity basketball and ran track for TCA. David plans to attend Florida Atlantic Univeristy in the fall to study BusinessAdministration. 40 JUNE 2023 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition CELEBRATES GRADUATES 2023 Ellie Jane Farrar Valedictorian Westminster Academy Ellie Jane Farrar earned a cumulative GPA of 4.70. She is an AP Capstone Diploma Candidate and AP Scholar with Distinction. She participated inVarsity Soccer, Cross Country and Track. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, the Pre-Med Club and President of the Green Club. She is an active member of both the Key Club and Rotary Interact Club. Ellie mentors middle school students and has volunteered as a Counselor in Training in summer camp at her church. She interned at Gangway, organizing and leading small groups and events for other high school students. Ellie received the Kenneth P. Wackes Christian Character award and plans to attend Samford University in the McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Layton McCartney Salutatorian Westminster Academy Layton McCartney earned a cumulative GPA of 4.68 while earning 39 college credits. Layton is a National Merit Commended Scholar and anAPScholar with Honors. He has been involved in Varsity Swim, Concert Band, Green Club, National Honor Society, Youth Leadership Broward and Harvard Model Congress. In the drama program, Layton served as stage crew director and as Student Director this year. Layton volunteers for Homes United where he has helped restore group homes locally and in Puerto Rico. Layton has served as a tutor to both his peers and younger students. In addition, Layton has worked at WA’s Boosterthon summer camp. He plans to attend Florida State University to pursue a degree in sports business and analytics Abigail Hulgin Valedictorian Trinity Christian Academy Abigail Hulgin has attended Trinity ChristianAcademy since pre-school and is the 2023 valedictorian. A National Honor Society member and the Student Council President, Abigail finishes her high school career with a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.44 and is a recipient of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship. While a student at TCA, Abigail competed in Varsity basketball her freshman year, was a member of the student council for four years, and participated in drama productions. Abigail plans to attend Pensacola Chrisitan College in the fall to study chemistry with the hopes to work in research one day to cure Alzheimer’s Disease.
