Emily Vincent Valedictorian Atlantic Christian Academy Emily Vincent has been an active member and leader of the Cheer Squad, National Honor Society, and Student Council while taking 11 honors courses, 5 advanced placement courses, and earning 15 dual-enrollment credits with a 4.3 GPA! She is talented, caring, teachable, and focused in her pursuits, exemplifying Christ-like character. She was most recently nominated for the prestigious Palm Beach Post Pathfinders award in Academic Excellence. Emily was accepted to the University of Florida, University of Central Florida, University of Tennessee, and Florida Atlantic University before prayerfully committing to Florida Gulf Coast University, where she plans to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Carter Maynard Salutatorian Atlantic Christian Academy Carter Maynard excelled athletically as he led our varsity soccer team to district finals the past two years and academically as he took on the role of vice-president of our school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Hardworking and teachable, Carter took the principles he learned in his entrepreneurship class and opened his own pressure cleaning business Carter Cleans! For his above-and-beyond business acumen, he was nominated for a Palm Beach Post Pathfinders Award in Business. Carter was accepted to Florida Gulf Coast University and Palm Beach Atlantic University before prayerfully deciding to attend Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Finance. 26 JUNE 2023 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition CELEBRATES GRADUATES 2023 Albert Adams Co-Salutatorian Boca Raton Christian School Albert Adams was born and raised in West Virginia and moved to Florida during his Freshman year. In his spare time, Albert enjoys running, golfing, acting and serving others through missions. Albert is graduating as Salutatorian of his high school and plans on attending UF as a finance major in the fall. Being involved with politics from a young age, Albert also plans on interning for the NRSC in DC over the summer. Logan Douglas Kaiser Co-Salutatorian Boca Raton Christian School Logan, the son of Douglas and Amy Kaiser, is graduating as co-salutatorian from Boca Christian. Logan serves as President of the National Honor Society as well as Vice President of the Student Council while being an active member of such organizations as Thespians, Toastmasters and Chick-Fil-A Leadership Program. Logan has served his community in many ways, but his favorite is by teaching chess to local youth. During his time at Boca Christian, Logan has enjoyed participating in drama each year. His experience in school productions has led to a love of theatre and film. He will be attending Florida State University in the fall pursuing his BFA in Motion Picture Arts. Vivian Velasco Valedictorian Boca Raton Christian School Vivian has been named the Valedictorian for Boca Christian. During her time in high school, she has been blessed to advance her college career through taking AP and Dual Enrollment courses. She will be attending Nova Southeastern University and taking advantage of the Physician Assistant Dual Admissions Program. Vivian has maintained a 4.29 GPA while being a student athlete and serving her community by completing over 1000 service hours. Some of her activities include Chick-fil-A leadership, Crazy Love (a school group committed to the spiritual development of the student body), vice president of the National Honor Society and active participation at Victory Church. Daniel Cuesta Valedictorian Calvary Christian Academy Fort Lauderdale Daniel J. Cuesta will be attending the University of Notre Dame and hopes to become a leader and public speaker who shares his love for Christ. Cuesta has been named National Hispanic Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, Silver Knight General Scholar Nominee, and has received the AP Capstone Diploma. Additionally, Daniel brought the first Lego Brick club for children on the Autism Spectrum to the United States after partnering with Play Included C.I.C and the Social Mind Center. It has now been running for over a year and looks forward to expanding soon. Thomas Poulos Salutatorian Calvary Christian Academy Fort Lauderdale Thomas Poulos received a full tuition Army ROTC scholarship to attend Liberty University. He graduates as an AP Scholar of Distinction with an AP Capstone Diploma. As a founding member and president of CCA’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter, he won two district championships (in Impromptu Speaking and Entrepreneurship). His senior year, he served as National Honor Society president and was a starting offensive lineman on CCA’s Varsity Football District Championship Team. Thomas will start college with 60 credit hours and plans to attend law school after completing his bachelor's.
