An informational lunch was hosted at the Coral Ridge Coun- try Club (CRCC) onAugust 18th by CRCC Managing Partner, JJ Sehlke and the Lifework team and attended by many business leaders in the community.Alumni are encouraged to bring a guest and RSVP for the Lifework Jour- ney Pilot session where you can get a taste of the Lifework Jour- ney experience, no strings at- tached on September 22 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Grateful Palate in Fort Lauderdale. Visit bit.ly/LJpilot to RSVP. My God Story happened 51 years ago when my fa- ther died suddenly of a heart attack in bed! When Vee and I arrived at my parents’ home, Dad was already gone. The electric clock by Dad’s side of the bed read 1:10 a.m. Mom said the clock always worked, but for some unknown reason it stopped about the time Dad passed away! Mom went to the clock repair shop to re- pair it, but they were unable! So three days later right after the funeral, my aunt and I walked out to my fa- ther’s rose garden that he always took pride in to find every rose was dead! It was the height of the flower sea- son, so my aunt and I were stunned to say the least! My father was a be- liever, so to explain both of these instances I always felt the Holy Spirit was leaving us a message as they took my father to Heaven! The next day, Dad’s death was on the front page of the Chicago Tribune! The local black paper’s headline read “Stepelton, friend of blacks died”! My Father was a Great Man and GOD knew it!
