The first Sunday of every October, thou- sands of individuals line the highways and byways, creating hundreds of Life Chains across America. Broward Right to Life or- ganizes the Life Chain in Broward County. This year, over 20 churches participated on Oct. 3, from 2-3 pm. An esti- mated 700 people lined Univer- sity Drive from Miramar Parkway to Sample Road, each one holding signs like “Abortion Hurts Women,” “Jesus Heals and Forgives,” and “Adoption the Loving Option.” Participants prayed for an end to abortion, interceding for all those who have been wounded by abortion, and pray- ing for the church to rise up and speak out on the issue of life. One participating church, Liberty Life Center, couldn’t say enough about the experience. The or- ganizer reported that, “Several did not want to stop [praying] … some wanted to do it again!” And we will. Our goal is to continue to stand and pray until every unborn child is embraced in love and protected by law.
