We are reminded of heroic acts by those in public service: First Responders rushing into harm’s way, whether they be Police, Fire, Paramedics or Good Samaritans. 2020 did bring into clearer focus the time to actually visualize what life in America is like withmassive, prolonged restrictions – somethingmany of us have been blessed to not have endured in our lifetimes until now. That iswhere leadership comes in, more than ever. I'mso proud of our Village Leadership – amagnificent group that remains steadfast to deliver God’s work and resolve to "Never Leave You Nor Forsake You." In the year of the pandemic , when it came toThe GoodNews Annual November Thanksgiving "Leading Charities and Foundations" andDecember Christmas "Leading Faith Leaders" issues, some 80 plus, heroic Leaders donned their face masks and joined us for our 4th annual group photo shoots as true Leader Servants. Taking all the necessary social distancing precautions, they sent the message to our community, “We will show up, stand up. We will deliver. We will support. We will not back down, and we are still here to serve the Homeless, Feed the needy, care for the children in need of a safe secure place to live including Foster Care, Rebuild homes, feed spirits and resolve that we have a Safe Place for women in need: This Is How You Reach Us. We are open and available. That's what Leaders do, they place their own concerns second; it's the safety of their Village first. Unbroken Resolve. Fearless Faith. Unlimited Spirit. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NIV ) These are the people who stand up. We see the many familiar faces over and over, and one thing I know for sure: there is an undeniable familiarity to those people. They have beenwell planned and organically placed in our Village. Those familiar faces are the Leaders, many of whom have taken the nine-month "Lifework Leadership" (LL) course that the National Christian Foundation of South Florida presents annually. LL, here in South Florida, is led by Stephan Tchividjian and his dedicated team. My friends and I marvel all the time how God has a plan, and if you're called to serve and lead, I encourage you to check out Lifework Leadership. It's invitation only, so just pick up the phone or email any of these leaders and ask them to hook you up. Most likely they are LLGraduates, and they’ll be glad to hear from you. - Les - Leslie J.
