28 JUNE 2020 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition GRADUATES Outstanding High School Graduates 2020 Megan Bennett Valedictorian Sheridan Hills Christian School Megan Bennett is Valedictorian of the Class of 2020 with a 5.01 GPA. An intellectually talented young lady, Megan has a big heart for serving others and has recently been making masks for hospitals, her community and school. She has spent many hours helping make costumes for school productions. Megan has earned over 460 com- munity service hours during her high school career many of them spent working at the food pantry at her church. Megan has served as the Scholar for the SHCS House of Ten Boom and the Presi- dent of the National Honors Society. She has earned countless academic and char- acter awards at school. Megan plans to attend Nova South Eastern University’s Faquhar Honors College on a full academic scholarship. James Davis Salutatorian Sheridan Hills Christian School James Davis is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2020 with a 4.87 GPA. An outstanding student, James ex- cels in every subject. He is a member of the National Honors Society and has served for two years as the Scholar for the SHCS House of Lewis. In addition to excelling at academics, James has also played on the Varsity Baseball team and is this year’s Most Val- ued Player. He is also receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award for Athletics for his tremendous help during Volleyball and Basket- ball Season. James will be attending the University of Florida in the fall. Over the years, James has grown in his walk with Christ and in godly character. Victoria Moore Valedictorian The King’s Academy Abrilliant mind and a beautiful person, Victoria Moore is a scholar, leader, and athlete. Graduating with a 4.61 cu- mulative GPA, Tori is a National Merit Finalist and Na- tional Hispanic Scholar. She holds membership in three honor societies, contributed 255 hours of community service, earned 13 outstanding academic achievement awards and received Senior SuperlativeAwards in Bible, engineering, and science. Tori is one of the most accom- plished, gracious, humble, compassionate and kind young ladies you will ever en- counter. She was awarded the prestigious Eugene McDermott Scholarship at the University of Dallas at Texas, where she plans to study biomedical engineering. Jenna Wright Salutatorian The King’s Academy Jenna Wright is a scholar, athlete, and editor extraor- dinaire. Graduating with a 4.59 cumulative GPA, Jenna is a self-motivated academic and has been named a National Merit Commended Scholar. She holds membership in three honor societies, con- tributed 294 hours of community service, earned 10 outstanding academic achievement awards and re- ceived Senior Superlative Awards in English, math, and Sceptre. Jenna epitomizes leadership, brilliance, and a commitment to ex- cellence in all she does. Jenna will attend the Frederick M. Supper Honors Pro- gram at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Clara Ann Harms Valedictorian Westminster Academy Clara Harms earned a cumulative GPA of 4.91. She has taken a challenging courses while serving as a leader in school and volunteering. Clara is an AP Scholar with Distinction and will receive an AP Cap- stone Diploma. She is the Key Club president, Green Club treasurer, Student Council officer, Yearbook ed- itor, and member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. She is also on the swim team, a cappella choir, and chapel leadership team. Clara seeks to honor God in all of her endeavors and will continue her education at Duke University, pursuing a degree in public policy. Dimitri Selimos Salutatorian Westminster Academy Dimitri Selimos earned a cumulative GPA of 4.76 and a STEM endorsement. Dimitri is in the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. He is the FIRST Robotics Mechanical Team Lead, going to the World Championships three years in a row. He plays football, is the captain of the soccer team, cross country team, and track & field. He is in concert and jazz band playing the clarinet and saxophone. Dimitri is known as someone who serves the Lord with all his heart, mind, and strength. Dimitri will be attending the University of Florida to pursue a degree in pre-medical sciences. Congratulations Graduates!
