26 JUNE 2020 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition GRADUATES Guery Ulyses First Priority Student Leader Santaluces High School Guery Ulyses has been the student leader for the First Priority Club at Sanatluces High School for the last two years. He has helped the club navigate ad- ministration changes, coordinated club meetings and led memorials for the Stoneman Douglas shooting. He formed a team of students from fresh- man to seniors to help lead in different capacities from preparing a message to greeting others stu- dents. He has also been a vital student leader at Christ Fellowship Church Boynton Beach. In addition, Guery started a live video series on Instagram and YouTube called Young In Faith calling this generation up to a new level. He plans to attend the Southeastern University program at Christ Fellowship. Britney Eugene First Priority Student Leader South Plantation High A member of the First Priority Club, Britney is a kind, caring and passionate believer in Jesus Christ who served as vice president helping coordinate proclaim weeks, Bible discussions, games and chal- lenges. Britney also served as vice president then pres- ident on the Student Government board for three years, was treasurer and secretary for Speech and Debate, and an officer for National Honor Society. Britney earned a capstone diploma, completed over 400 service hours in her church and community, and was recognized at an environmental conservation summit for her research on food waste. She plans to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University and major in Biology with a Pre-health concentration and a minor in finance. Ana Nikolic Valedictorian Highlands Christian Academy Ana Nikolic is an international student from Belgrade, Serbia, and has attended Highlands for three years. Throughout her time at Highlands, she has been in- volved in Thespians, National Honor Society, volleyball, quiz team, yearbook, and tutoring. Ana has a great love for theater, and some of her favorite memories are from the Thespian competitions. Ana was awarded Critic’s Choice for her performance this year and was honored to perform for a full arena during the awards ceremony. Her life verse is 1 Peter 3:15. She plans to attend Florida Atlantic University this fall. Highlands is proud to announce Ana Nikolic as the Class of 2020 Valedictorian! Ciara Huntley Salutatorian Highlands Christian Academy Ciara Huntley has attended Highlands since K3 and holds the honored distinction of being a Highlands “Lifer.” During her fifteen years at Highlands, she has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track and field, band, theater, class officer in student government, National Junior Honor Society, and National Honor Society. Her life verses are John 3:16-17. She will be attending either University of Central Florida or Florida A & M University. Highlands is proud to announce Ciara Huntley as the Class of 2020 Salutatorian! Cade Gerks Valedictorian Jupiter Christian School Cade is Class of 2020 Valedictorian with a GPA of 4.454. He is a Pathfinder nominee in Academic Ex- cellence. Cade served as the Junior Marshall and earned Academic Award recognitions in Math, Span- ish, History, and English. Cade served as "Officer 1" in the National Honor Society. His was a member of the Varsity Football Team and Secretary for the Thes- pian Society. Cade assisted his peers in AP Calculus. His community service includes work as a social media intern at BatterEASE, house painting projects for veterans, volunteering at a soup kitchen, beach clean- ings and assistant teacher at Kids Need More Art. Cade will be attending the Uni- versity of Central Florida in the fall and majoring in Information Technology. Dean Freeman Salutatorian Jupiter Christian School Dean is the JCS class of 2020 Salutatorian with a GPA of 4.445. APathfinder nominee in Math, Dean has also received Excellence Awards in History, Science, Math and Theatre Academic Excellence. He received a Na- tional Merit Commendation for PSAT testing and won the Creative WritingAward throughACSI. Dean served as Copy Editor for the Journalism Club, directed and wrote a One-Act Play for the Fine Arts Festival and competed in Debate Club. Dean is a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo and a boxer. His community service includes work at the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hos- pital Kid's World, the Hobe Sound Nature Preserve and the JCS Community Serv- ice Club. Dean plans to attend the University of Florida, majoring in History. Audrey Allen Valedictorian Lake Worth Christian School Audrey has attended Lake Worth Christian School for 14 years and is the 2020 Valedictorian. Audrey holds a 4.91 HPA, is the President of the National Honor Society, President of the International Thes- pian Honor Society, and a member of the Spanish Honor Society. Among her awards for academic ex- cellence, Audrey was selected as the Pathfinder nominee for Academic Excellence. Audrey was a member of the Jubilate Show Choir for 5 years. She has been involved in all musical and dramatic performances as well as Student Council, FBLA, Princi- pal’s Leadership Council, Cheerleading, and Faith in Action. Audrey plans to attend the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College to study Me- chanical Engineering. Andrew Cain Salutatorian Lake Worth Christian School Andrew has attended Lake Worth Christian School for 7 years and is currently the 2020 Salutatorian. Andrew holds a 4.75 HPA and has been inducted into both the Spanish Honor Society and the Na- tional Honor Society. He has accumulated numer- ous accolades and honors for his academic excellence. Andrew explored Israel and Greece during two different trips with the school’s Interna- tional Travel Studies Program. Having a servant heart, Andrew has partici- pated in a mission trip to Mexico with the school to build a home for a family and he has put in many hours of service with the Faith in Action program at the school.
