OUT AND ABOUT 30 APRIL 2020 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition In true awards show style, nearly 700 local nota- bles, community leaders and members of the non-profit sector attended the sold- out 10th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards presented by Semi- nole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and hosted by 211 Broward on Friday, February 28th. The Non- Profit Awards celebrated the inspiring work of Broward County's non-profit agencies and recognized the individual efforts of outstanding non- profit executive and board leaders. Over the years, 211 Broward has granted $200,000 back to non-profits through the Non-Profit Awards event. During the Luncheon, the winners of each of the 211 award categories were an- nounced, each receiving an award and $1,000 for their non-profit organization. The fi- nalists in each category were awarded $500. Winners were chosen for their dedication to Broward County and the im- pact they have on the commu- nity by a panel of impartial judges from the Tri-County area. Alan Levan, Chairman and CEO of BBX Capital and Bluegreen Vacations received the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional contributions which enrich lives in our com- munity.
