Good News - November 2019
On October 14, 4KIDS cel- ebrated ten years of the South Florida Orphans Classic &Auc- tion. More than 100 golfers en- joyed a beautiful morning out on the course at Coral Ridge Country Club. In the afternoon, they took part in a lively round of bidding on auction items, all benefitting 4KIDS. Each four- some that participated in the tournament represented differ- ent business partners that gen- erously gave towards the event. Between the sponsorships, auction, and additional dona- tions, the players raised over $150,000 for kids in our com- munity! One of the many business partners that participated in the Orphans Classic was Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, a local South Florida restaurant chain. This month, 4KIDS stood side by side with them in their grand “burrito cutting” ceremony dur- ing the opening of their new Dania Pointe location. Joining in on the fun was another commu- nity partner of 4KIDS, theAlbert Wilson Foundation. After the ceremony, Lime Fresh pre- sented 4KIDS with a generous check for $2,500 to continue making an impact on the lives of the next generation. 4KIDS is grateful to have friendships with individuals and businesses alike in the commu- nity who use their resources to give back to kids in need!
