30 JUNE 2019 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition GRADUATES Outstanding High School Graduates 2019 Brandon Maraj Valedictorian Trinity Christian Academy Brandon Maraj has won the Principal's Honor Roll every semester, graduating fromTrinity ChristianAcademy with a 4.1GPAas 2019Valedictorian. He foundedTrinity'sHigh School Art Club and Debate Club. He contributed 400 community service hours. He will attend Palm Beach At- lantic University, and was awarded the $16,000 Provost's Scholarship. Brandon plans to study three disciplines in different fields, saying, "I believe that receiving a Master's in the field of Nursing andPhilosophy and aminor in Literaturewill satisfymywillingness to serve my community as well as my thirst for wisdom and knowledge.” Daniel Garbarsky Salutatorian Trinity Christian Academy Daniel Garbarsky is 2019 Salutatorian of Trinity Chris- tianAcademy. Adriven student, he was part of the Dive Club for two years and was student body president last year. Daniel has been on the yearbook staff for two years, one year as seniors editor, and he has been part of the National Honor Society for two years. He also participated in five sports: flag football, Swimming, Soc- cer, Basketball, and Volleyball, serving as team captain in both soccer and volleyball. In addition, Daniel has been on the honor roll throughout his high school career. Ava Gaus Valedictorian Westminster Academy Valedictorian of the Class of 2019, with a cumulative GPA of 4.96, Ava Gaus has been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist and an AP Scholar with Distinc- tion. Ava sings, dances, and acts and as this year’s stu- dent director, she led in a unique fashion always modeling a spirit of service. She has been a yearbook section editor, cheerleader, and on the chapel worship team. Ava volunteers in the homeless ministry and the children’s ministry at her church and organized local missions projects for her youth group. Ava will be attending the University of Florida. Sebastián Molina Salutatorian Westminster Academy Salutatorian of the Class of 2019, Sebastián Molina has achieved a cumulative GPAof 4.94 and earned a STEM endorsement while taking a rigorous curriculum. Se- bastián is a National Merit Scholar Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, and was invited to the National Hispanic Recognition Program. He ledWA’s FIRSTRobotics Team to three consecutiveWorld Championships. He has men- tored children in an afterschool program specifically de- signed to help students from low-income and troubled families.
