Throughout her time at Highlands she has been involved in track, soccer, National Honor Society, praise team, and served as class president. Abigail has a great love for theater and has performed inmany plays andmusicals; she has also served as the Highlands Thespians troupe president. Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, and she plans to study biology and pre-med with at FAU Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College in Jupiter this fall. Highlands is proud to announceAbigail Canning as the Class of 2019 Valedictorian! Samantha Goldman Salutatorian Highlands Christian Academy Samantha Goldman has attended Highlands for eight years. She is President of the National Honor Society and the Pompano Exchange Senior of the Year. She has spent her high school career enjoying volleyball, basketball, band, yearbook, Thespians, and Brain Bowl. Samantha is graduating with a 4.389 GPA from Highlands. Her life verse is Isaiah 26:4, and she will be attending Florida State in the fall, majoring in Psy- chology. Highlands is proud to announce Samantha Goldman as the Class of 2019 Salutatorian! Savannah Rousseau Valedictorian Jupiter Christian School Savannah is the class of 2019 Valedictorian and a National Merit Finalist. She is a Pathfinder nominee for Academic Excellence, won the Student of Distinc- tion Award twice and participates in the National Honor Society. Savannah served in the International Club in 2015 and 2016 and participated in Leadership of Palm Beach County’s GROW Program last year. Savannah has consistently appeared on the Princi- pal’s List each semester and received a near perfect ACT score of a 35. Sa- vannah has served at Beacon Baptist Church since 2012 working with children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Emily O’Niel Salutatorian Jupiter Christian School Emily is the class of 2019 Salutatorian and Pathfinder nominee for Science. Emily earned Science, Math and Language Arts Academic Excellence awards, the Presi- dent’s Education ProgramAward for Educational Excel- lence and has been on the Principal’s list consistently. Emily was National Honor Society President in 2018 and a member since 2016. She was awarded Highest Grad- ing Athlete and is a graduate of the Palm Beach County Leadership GROWAcademy. Emily was a Varsity Football Cheerleader and Varsity Lacrosse Manager. She has volunteered at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Hannah’s Home and Place of Hope and received a JCS community service award. Callie Saylors Valedictorian Lake Worth Christian School Callie has attended Lake Worth Christian since Pre-K and is 2019 Valedictorian. She was inducted into the Na- tional Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society her Sophomore year and the Thespian Honor Society her Freshman year. She was on the Principal’s Honor Roll and received the President’sAward forAcademic Excel- lence four years. She is the LWC Pathfinder Nominee for music/instrumental, a Bright Futures Scholarship Re- cipient and received a UCF Pegasus Silver Scholarship. Callie was in plays and musical productions, in the Choral Program and a member of Jubilate all four years. She will attend University of Central Florida, studying Sci- ence Technology Engineering and Math. Allison LaCoursiere Salutatorian Lake Worth Christian School Allison attended Lake Worth Christian for 13 years and is 2019 Salutatorian. She was on the Principal’s Honor Roll every year, and was in the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, serving as secretary. She received the President’sAward for OutstandingAcadem- ics in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, earned a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, is the Pathfinder Nominee for Aca- demic Excellence and received a Connie Vanderwey Scholarship. She was on the Varsity Cross Country Team three years and volunteered with Faith inAction two years. Through the Travel Studies Program, she went to Guatemala and Italy. She will attend Stetson University to study International Business and Political Science. Thomas “TJ” Chipman Valedictorian Sheridan Hills Christian School Thomas “TJ” Chipman is the 2019 Valedictorian at Sheri- dan Hills Christian School. TJ earned a GPA of 4.7 while taking Honors andAdvanced Placement courses. He ex- celled in leadership as President of theWilberforce House and as captain of the Varsity Cross Country, Boys Bas- ketball, and Tennis teams. TJ was awarded MaleAthlete of the Year for both 11th and 12th grade. In August, TJ travelled to Southeast Asia with a group of missionaries to aid earthquake victims. TJ has been accepted to Florida State University and will attend Boyce College/Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky where he will pursue his Masters in Divinity for a career in ministry. Kaylah Louiny Salutatorian Sheridan Hills Christian School Kaylah Louiny is the 2019 Salutatorian at Sheridan Hills Christian School. Kaylah excelled in leadership as Presi- dent of the Truth House and captain of the Varsity Volley- ball and Varsity Girls Basketball teams. She is a member of the National Honor Society and held a lead role in the production of Shakespeare’s Love Labour’s Lost. Kaylah is part of the Christian Leadership class and leads worship at weekly chapels. She earned a 4.4 GPAwhile taking de- manding Honors and AP courses. She has been ac- cepted to the University of Miami, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Florida International University. Kaylah plans on studying School Psychology. Kyle Martin Valedictorian The King’s Academy Kyle Martin served three years as student council pres- ident and four as a student ambassador. He con- tributed 399 community service hours and was president of the National English Honor Society and National Social Studies Honor Society, treasurer of Math National Honor Society, and vice-president and co-founder of Diversity Student Union. First in his class academically and Harvard Prize Book recipient, Kyle Martin earned a 4.64 WGPAand is anAP Scholar with Distinction. He participated in athletics, politics and performing arts with lead roles in 32 productions. Kyle re- ceived the Farish Scholarship for full tuition, room and board from Palm Beach Atlantic University where he will study political science. Lauren Arrington Salutatorian The King’s Academy Lauren Arrington is a leader, holding a 4.58 cumulative GPA. Lauren has been named a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar of Distinction. Lauren is a member of seven national honor societies, holding office in four. Lauren received the Science, STEM and Social Studies superlatives this year, seven outstanding achievement awards and served over 650 hours of community serv- ice hours. Involvement in The Regiment, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band, Lauren held the position of DrumMajor. As Academic Pre- fect, developed a tutoring program for elementary students. She interned at South Martin Regional Utility and Tequesta Water Treatment Plant. Lauren plans to study Civil or Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. Outstanding High School Graduates 2019
