OUT AND ABOUT 32 AUGUST 2019 www.goodnewsfl.org Good News • South Florida Edition Students and leaders from Coral Ridge Presbyte- rian Church traveled to the is- land nation of Fiji for two weeks in July on their 2019 Fiji Student Missions Trip. After two semesters of en- riching Evangelism Explosion (EE) training, students were encouraged by this opportu- nity to respond to our Savior’s Great Commission and share their faith in the South Pacific coordinated through the D. James and Anne Kennedy Center for World Evangelism in Fiji. Director of Student Min- istry Caleb Koornneef, said, “The highlight of the trip was seeing God use our students to help equip local pastors and lay leaders be able to share their faith and multiply that ability among their con- gregations. Every day we got to see the Holy Spirit in action by our evangelism efforts with those at the EE clinic. Jesus was changing lives and will continue to do so in Fiji! It was such a blessing to be a part of that mission.” During the trip, students visited a local elementary and primary schools where they led the children in songs, danced and taught them the gospel utilizing EE methods. They painted a village church, performed drama presentations, shared testi- monies, practiced street evangelism and played games with the villagers. Students recorded their trip on a mission blog where Brooke Stepelton, a sopho- more from Westminster Academy, commented, “I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to spread the gospel and work in the mis- sion field for God’s King- dom… God has spoken to me in ways I didn’t even know I could be reached; lately I’ve been praying very hard about what I want to do with my life with college com- ing up soon, and He has clearly displayed to me what He wants me to do and His plan for my life. I can’t wait for what the future holds for my team and I.” In another blog post, Riley Clements, a sophomore from Westminster Academy, said, “Sharing the Gospel has been one of my favorite parts of the trip. Today, I was talking with a tourist woman from France…The fact that we got to share the full Gospel with her was a blessing, and hopefully it planted a seed that God will water and grow.” Students Share Their Faith in the South Pacific Adriana Desir, Nicole Clark, Madison Sipowski, Riley Clements, Brooke Stepelton, Jackie Nava, Christiana Hewlett, Noah Sipowski, Sarah Maba, Ben Bordy, Lauren Stracener, Caleb Koornneef, Victoria Barbar, Suzannah Koornneef.
