GoodNewsFL.org 38 NOVEMBER 2018 OUT AND ABOUT More than 350 charitable foodies opened their hearts and appetites during the sixth annual Eat Your Heart Out culinary soiree at The Galleria, raising nearly $60,000 for the Heart Gallery of Broward County, a re- spected not-for-profit committed to finding loving families for the hardest to place foster children, andBroward’sNationalAdoption Day.Ahighlight of the delectable event featured Neighbors 4 Neighbors Executive Director Lynne Cameron recognized as Child Advocate of the year, who has made helping children and families her life’s work. “We are thrilled and proud of the success of our sixth annual Eat Your Heart Out event, sup- porting children who need a lov- ing home,” said Yvette DuBose, executive director of the Heart Gallery of BrowardCounty. “This collaborationwith Broward’s Na- tional Adoption Day, The Galle- ria, top restaurants in the area, sponsors and committed individ- uals is our largest fundraiser and much needed to fulfill our impor- tant mission.” Eat Your Heart Out atten- dees enjoyed delicious dishes and libations from a variety of stand-out restaurants.
