OUT AND ABOUT 20 NOVEMBER 2018 Good News • South Florida Edition Hundreds Attend 5KWalk/Run to Benefit Hope Women’s Centers Hope Women’s Centers held their annual Walk/Run 4Life at WestminsterAcademy'sWest Athletic Campus on Saturday evening, October 20. Over 225 people came to walk, run and serve at this event. Individuals and students from churches all over Broward County came out to support Hope. Hope is still counting money. The ambitious goal posted online was $150,000, but they feel very confident that the Budget goal of $85,000 will be reached. Funds raised help women and men facing tough preg- nancy decisions receive accu- rate information about pregnancy options, medical services, and compassionate care to help them make in- formed decisions regarding their unplanned pregnancies. In the last five years Hope has provided free services in over 30,000 patient visits at their Broward County medical clin- ics. Eighty-six percent of pa- tients who receive services at Hope change their minds about abortion. Participants enjoyed a din- ner compliments of the Georgia Pig and participated in a variety of family activities. The evening was full of fun, food, music and fellowship as Christians from every corner of our county came out to celebrate Life.
