Semi- finalist ministries were un- veiled and made presentations for grant con- sideration. Winning presen- ters will be awarded grants during an upcoming event on October 26, 2018. The Semi-finalists under consideration in 2018, in- clude Mount Bethel Human Services Corp, Urban Youth Impact, South Florida Bible College & Theological Sem- inary, Inc. , First Priority South Florida, and Living Water Christian Counseling Center. The participants of the Strikeforce 421 giving circle believe in radical, life-chang- ing generosity, and that to- gether, we can accomplish what not one of us can do on our own. Semi-finalists Unveiled StrikeForce 421 Board of Trustees: (left to right) Christine de Vries, Laurie Farquhar, Rose Ann Lovell, Suzanne Chesser, Elizabeth Brickman, JoAnne Daudt, Candace Rogers Dr. Roby Glover was honored as the 2018 Recipi- ent of the Alan and Marsha Levy Champion of Child Abuse and Neglect Preven- tion Award In gratitude for his lifelong efforts to help keep kids safe. The award was sponsored by Broward Aware and presented by Honorable Judge Kenneth Gillespi. The award was presented to Dr. Glover at Broward Aware’s Family Fun Day held on Sat- urday April 14, 2018 at Franklin Delevoe park. There were vendors from dozens of community based organiza- tions on hand to speak with event goers about their serv- ices and offer resources available to local residents. A tasty lunch of hot dogs, ham- burgers, chicken and veggie wraps was provided by Mount Bethel Human Serv- ices and Chef Chad Cherry of Refresh Live Café, Inc. Dr. Rosby L. Glover , executive director of Mount Bethel Human Services stands with Cindy Seltzer , president/CEO of the Children’s Services Council of Broward County, with his award.
