OUT AND ABOUT 16 MAY 2018 Good News • South Florida Edition On Tuesday, April 17, The Home Depot Foundation part- nered with Rebuilding Together Broward County to transform a former church into the future HOPE South Florida commu- nity center for homeless citizens and veterans. Projects helped transform the sanctuary into a multi-purpose dining and edu- cation room, and outfit offices for the entire HOPE and HOPE4Vets staff. More than 60 members of Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force, completed the work on their day off. This project in Ft. Laud- erdale is part of The Home Depot’s ongoing efforts to im- prove the homes and lives of U.S. military veterans and their families. Since 2011, The Home Depot Foundation has trans- formed more than 37,000 homes and facilities for veterans across the country. Giving back to veterans is personal to The Home Depot, as more than 35,000 of the company’s associ- ates have served in the military.
