First Care Women’s Clinic recognized its most faithful supporters at a spe- cial reception, where they were inducted into the new Imago Dei Society. The re- ception preceded the Annual Benefit Dinner, held on No- vember 6 at the Royal Palm Yacht Club and Country Club in Boca Raton, where First Care celebrated the 35th an- niversary of its incorporation. The Imago Dei Society welcomed members who are committed to the mission of First Care Women’s Clinic, assisting women who are dealing with crisis pregnan- cies and empowering them with information and support. An audience of approxi- mately 30 guests were gra- ciously thanked by Executive Director Beau Heyman and Director Emeritus Sharon Brewer and blessed by Don Karpinen, lead pastor of Vic- tory Church in Boca Raton. Among the inductees were Carol Van Curler, a dual res- ident of Boca Raton and Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Nori Nicholas of Boca Raton. For Nicholas, the evening was especially memorable, as it marked nearly four decades passing since she and her friend, Carol Walters, helped found First Care as part of Nicholas’ ministry with her husband, David, at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton. “It’s so amazing,” she said. “When we started, we were two women who didn’t know what we were doing – just helping young mothers and running around trying to get other churches involved.” For more information, visit firstcareforlife.com .
