Tom Abblett, an elder at Hammock Street Church inBoca Raton, who has ardently sup- ported thecharity’sJoinThePack community foodpackingevent for the past two years, received the 2018 Food For The Poor Volun- teer of theYearAward. Food For The Poor Vice President Mark Khouri, who presented the award, said Ab- blett recruits family members who have come from near and far to support him at every packing session. The 2018 Corporate Spon- sor of the Year Award was given to TD Bank. The company’s re- lationship with Food For The Poor goes back to 2009 with its continued support of the charity’s Building Hope Gala held annu- ally in February in Boca Raton.
