As we pray for the students, faculty and families, we know God can bring hope and comfort, in Jesus Christ, in the darkest hours.” Chaplains arrived on- site hours after news broke of the attack. The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team was devel- oped by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evan- gelistic Association following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It has since grown into an international network of chaplains in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia who are specifically trained to deal with crisis situations. They have deployed to more than 280 disaster sites, in- cluding shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tor- nadoes. The effort in Parkland is the fifth deployment of the year for the crisis-trained chaplains. For more infor- mation on the ministry, visit www.billygraham.org/rrt.
