Good News Florida

Serving Our Community We labor and reflect, how can the Good News best serve our community? So, our Thanksgiving gift is our front cover and feature story, bringing the South Florida Charitable community together for their 2017-2018 "class picture" and showing our appreciation for all they do. The venue for the shoot was the Parker Playhouse, a South Florida treasure and one of the great venues in America for an audience to enjoy live theater, concerts or ballet. Our thanks and appreciation to Shelly Bradshaw and M. Tate Tenorio of the Broward Center and Parker Playhouse, respectively. We were thrilled that thirty charities and foundations accepted our invitation to participate and even more gratified when witnessing those in attendance enjoying each other's company in an audience of peers of founders, executive directors and CEO's, often exchanging business cards. We have endeavored to provide a compilation of the names, mission statements and websites, so you, our faithful readers, can become enlightened and perhaps inspired to donate or volunteer in this Thanksgiving Season. You will make a connection with some pretty great people whose noble mission is to serve, and serve they do, but I’m certain they’ll embrace your acknowledgement and willingness to help. "But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased" (Hebrews 13:16 KJV) Happy Thanksgiving from the staff and families of the Good News. We are blessed to know you. -Les PUBLISHER 2 NOVEMBER 2017 Good News • Broward Edition Broward Edition Good News • October 2017 • Volume 19, Issue 8 Our Heartfelt Condolences - Leslie J.
