OUT AND ABOUT 12 NOVEMBER 2017 Good News • Broward Edition 7KH *RRG 1HZV ‡ *RRG1HZV)/ RUJ ¹ ¹ Hope Women's Centers held their annual Walk For Life & Color FUN Run at Westminster Academy’s West Athletic Campus on October 14. Over 236 sponsored walkers/runners raised funds to benefit Hope Women's Centers. Individuals and churches from all over Broward County came out to support Hope. At first count, $64,000 had come in, leaving about $36,000 short of the budgeted goal of $100,000. This fall has been a difficult season with so many natural disasters around our country, and the staff at Hope recognizes their partners are helping with many causes. They have confidence that God will provide for the vital life-affirming work they are doing. Funds raised help women and men who find themselves in unplanned pregnancies get information and services they need to make informed decisions. In the last six years Hope has provided free services to 35,700 patients at their Broward County clinics. Eighty-six percent of Hope patients who are considering abortion choose life. Participants in the Walk For Life & Color FUN Run enjoyed lunch from Chick-fil- A and children’s activities. The evening was a fun event with representation of Christians from all over Broward County celebrating life!
